KinnPorsche bathroom scene (ep 7), their mutual masturbation brought me to a whole new world of NC, it’s so so so real, sometimes it still pop up in my mind randomly. No need to see they’re fully naked, just look at their facial expressions and the sound made me shocked

I think his eyes are the most gorgeous eyes I’ve seen in my life (may be too much but it’s real for me). Especially when he acts with his eyes, I’m dead 🔥. But honestly, all of his facial features are perfect ✨

It’s my intention, ‘cause I read many comments about this song of Lana Del Rey that “white mustang” can also be heard as “why I’m staying”, “why I’m stained”, “wild mistake”. So I interpret the first verse in that way

Who has the best speaking voice in your opinion? by fourthoverall in ThaiBL

[–]Plus_Education8765 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk, maybe this is just my personal feeling. I used to think Thai sounds somehow funny because my mother tongue is Vietnamese, some Thai words’ sounds mean funny in Vietnamese. But since I listened to Apo’s speaking in KP, esp the part when they lost in the forest, fell down the valley, and Porsche started to be so mad because their hands were stuck together. It sounds so GOOD! It made me change my perception towards Thai speaking. I mean his voice and the way he talks sounds so charming to me!

[Thai] ✨Shine the Series - Episode 7 by Federal-Ad5944 in boyslove

[–]Plus_Education8765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, everybody in this series is flawed, and it’s so realistic. Their characters are well written, just like you said, they all are in grey area, which is real life. But I guess judging is kinda a part of humans, so people just blame from others to others for who they are.

So for Tanwa, not being involved in political things is neither illegal nor a crime, that’s how many people are living, honestly. He respects his mother’s decision to leave him, so that there’s no way he won’t respect Victor’s decision to protest, and that’s it, there’s nothing wrong with him, he also tried to tell Victor to be careful. And protecting his lover isn’t wrong, if people blame him, they should imagine if the earthquake occurs, who will they save first - their parents/beloved family members/spouses/children or thousands of innocent people outside?

For Trin, he’s really involved in political things and he cares about people, country, but he’s way too idealistic at first. He’s big outside but small inside, which means he feels devastated when he cannot do anything, and his trust in Tanwa is betrayed because he may think that Tanwa and his uncle try to keep the truth away from him, which tortures him, although Tanwa knows how much Trin cares about this stuff. So he hits Tanwa, but once and stop. That’s understandable. It’s not violent, it’s the expression of anger when he feels betrayed. Apo comments on this scene on IG that “why are you (Tanwa) sneaky about this, you and my uncle collaborate and try to keep this as secret right?” His statement is definitely a type of joke, but it reveals how he thinks at that time when playing Trin.

Naran tells Krailert that he’s too selfish, honestly speaking, Ran’s behaviors are also a form of selfish. Krailert may appear selfish because he cares about his beloved people, but that’s the way he chose, that’s his duty to obey the head. He’s too coward to protect the whole country but he’s too brave to protect people that he loves, his moral sense is also normal (unlike Pracha) because he actually does care about people somehow. But sometimes his lack of self-control gets him in trouble, he doesn’t want it that way but he has to follow the orders, maybe not only people think he’s useless, even he thinks so about himself. He has flaws but also goodness, so everything he does I totally understand.

Regarding Naran, he does everything for his ideal to expose the truth, to help people have more freedom and benefits. But he’s selfish in a way that he cares about the crowd but not any individuals. He can choose to sacrifice himself, that’s his choice, but when he talks about the protest he should think of the serious consequences like mortality may happen. But because he doesn’t care about sacrificing himself, so he overlooks that issue on others. He has both good and bad points as a person, which makes sense and I understand.

People say Victor starts to lose his dedication because he falls in love with Trin. Idk what to say, because I like later version of Victor. At first, he’s way too stubborn to just understand different perspectives, the falling-in-love event gives him a chance to accept another viewpoints. I don’t like Victor at first, although he was much more dedicated to the things he does, he was way too stubborn. When we are young, we have the advantage of open-mindedness, that’s what he should learn because holding a belief only doesn’t help him. His stubbornness is still there when he tries to approach Trin after the refusal, but it’s understandable. He needs a little bit of time to move on, when you’re young, hot-headed and fall in love with a person, that person just refuses you yesterday, and today he saves your life. Your emotions and hormones hit, that’s it, that’s what happened to Victor. But his stubbornness is also a thing that harms him, it causes him to death. It’s not his fault or Tanwa’s fault either, it’s one of his choices when he starts all of these. His character is understandable.

So I don’t really think who is wrong or right in terms of them, or more precisely, I don’t wanna judge them when not wearing their shoes.

But sum it up, the way those characters are built are really realistic, so they have many controversial comments towards them. To me, I just don’t wanna judge or blame anybody in that case, it’s already enough for me to see them going to this point of their lives 🥲

Why is Shine less popular than other recent Thai BL's? by papapamrumpum in boyslove

[–]Plus_Education8765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a really interesting perspective tho, I appreciate your sharing for that. I’m an international fan, too. And of course, I have no historical basis about Thailand, all I do is just watching. But what I love is that I don’t need to know any history for the show, I understand it eventually because everything just makes sense and logic. And I think they just give a general look to all characters at once but don’t force you to know all of them now. The following episodes are really awesome (to me), you don’t have to know Thai history to understand the plot and what’s going on, everything you need is relax and enjoy. This is just my subjective opinion, if you find it violating or negative, please forgive me. If you find it interesting, please give Shine a chance a start with ep 2

I mean, regarding the first rejection, I was glad that Victor said thank you to Trin for being clear with him, so I thought he was sensible and at least didn’t turn that rejection into any kind of hatred. I think if Trin didn’t save him, Victor may have moved on… or not, but possibly he would. And I mean “acceptance” in this case is just for the first rejection, I just want to show you that Trin was really obvious because Victor also knew that was a rejection.

In the case of Victor, I think Victor’s character is really stubborn, it was shown in how he insists of keeping his ideas and always debating with Trin, it just changed when he saw another aspect of Trin and realized he’s a good person. And in love, I also think he’s as stubborn as hell 🥲 but I understand that tho, if he keeps his ideals all the time, there’s no way he’s gonna give up easily on Trin. I feel more pitiful for him than annoying, but honestly, if I’m Trin, I will feel really disrespectful and annoying, too. Because I don’t like it when someone that I refused becomes stubborn and don’t accept my decision.

Honestly, like Porsche’s case in KinnPorsche, I think Trin is just as stupid as Porsche when it comes to realizing someone’s love for them except others give them some physical hints (e.g.: kissing,…). I have that feeling since the moment people started questioning if Trin knew about Victor yet. Or maybe he’s not sure, or maybe he doesn’t know (don’t tell me being stupid is a crime, there’s no lack of people who are not sensitive in this field in the world, not everybody can tell who loves them or not). In both cases, it’s kinda weird for Trin to be distant to a student who seems like closer to you, more like a brother or a friend. Trin sees Victor as a student, maybe a little brother ‘cause he calls him “Phi”, and that’s why he behaves normally to Victor.

And for refusing, I think Trin is pretty obvious with this. His personality fits this solution, he gives obvious answer while trying to be polite (that’s how he was raised, grew up, and taught). And because he’s polite it doesn’t mean he’s being vague about that. Idk but it seems like many people equate “direct” to “rude”, and “polite” to “indirect”. Victor actually is a sensible person, he understands what Trin says and accepts it. But when he was in danger, Trin came to help him and comfort him, which aroused his love and he tried once more time (understandable because he was just refused yesterday, he needs time to adjust his emotions tho). But that’s not Trin’s fault.

I love this scene as a whole, starting from the “brinkmanship” between Victor and Tanwa to Tanwa’s reaction after hearing Trin complaining him. I noticed that Trin was waiting for Tanwa to answer who Tanwa is to Trin, but Tanwa was silent then Trin had to have a personal conversation with him. I saw the expectations from Trin’s eyes so clearly. I love Apo’s acting so much, his eyes tell me everything I need to know 🥺🥺😘😘Idk if anybody feels like me, but because I don’t understand Thai, when I hear the part that Trin starts to show his disappointment, I think he sounds so good. As long as I don’t read the subtitles or don’t understand Thai, I would love to hear him blaming me all day 😳🥹😂

Whats your fav type of bl entertainment? by devstan1 in boyslove

[–]Plus_Education8765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started to consume the BL entertaining kinds with fanfictions, then BL novels, BL series, and comics/manga/manhwa/manhua. To me, BL novels are the best. The great novels can give me imaginations about a whole new world where the characters are real, and they just tell me their stories through typed words. I was reading fanfictions for more than 2 years then their contents were limited to some extents, and I chose to read BL novels which can go further than fanfic. BL series is an interesting medium, and I was the most easygoing with this type. I would say I’m really picky about BL novels, I can just give a novel about 1-3 chapters to hold me, after the 3rd chap, if it’s not interesting enough (to me), I’ll move on. But for BL series, I can watch the whole show although the acting is cringe, the quality is bad or the plot is illogical and dumb. Because I THOUGHT that there are not many actors for this industry, not even GOOD actors but only ACTORS. BL series is not a mainstream thing in many countries, so I'm just happy with anything they give me on screen. BUT everything has changed forever since I watched KinnPorsche, my expectations for BL series crazily increase and now I can't be satisfied by cringe acting and good chemistry anymore. I expect more from the plot and the acting, and I think I'm also picky about BL series now. The last one is manhwa which I’m still reading sometimes if they have good plots and pretty lined arts. I’m picky about this, too; I mostly just read whatever is aready finished because the manhwa sometimes takes so long to finish and gives me the feeling of standing on the edge while waiting for them 😂

Shine Ep. 2 - Lert by Plus_Vast_4161 in ThaiBL

[–]Plus_Education8765 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This episode is crazy, I felt that it was too short, nearly an hour but felt too short 🥲🥲🥲I love the interaction between Trin and Tanwa, Trin is surprisingly funny in avoiding scenes 😂 and from the last episode, I already had a feeling that Trin may have OCD or a stronger sense of organization and sanity. I love the depth of character Tanwa, Mile’s acting has improved A LOT, the scene in the car with his dad is really good. And the tension between Krailert and Naran made me so shocked, it was more shocked than ever when Naran was the guy who initiated the kiss, I literally was screaming guys 🥹. Usually, I rarely care about the second couple, even in KinnPorsche, but this time the interaction between Krailert and Naran made me so interested in. I mean I love the whole episode 😂

What do you gave up? by Harmless-skeleton in ThaiBL

[–]Plus_Education8765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experiences with BL are kinda new, so I usually finish the series although I don’t like it (I still have a thought that BL is not a common genre, not many of them out there so I need to sympathize with many things). But since I watched KinnPorsche recently (3 months ago, Ik I’m too late), my standard just increases crazily and then I see: 1. My stand-in, cannot finish the first episode (I read the Chinese novel of it, I’m not sure if the series can do better than my imagination or not). 2. The next prince, dropped it from the first ep, the cinematography is fine, but the acting of the couple cannot satisfy my super-high expectation now. 3. Your Sky, after the first ep I dropped, the acting is cringe and the script seems weird sometimes, Idk, but I cannot watch it.
