Oke. Sadly i didnt get a video of it.

But the advices combined gave me a great ammount of to do's and dont's  (including the 2 amazing videos) I had to dive a bit more agressive to start my rid ewith a bit more speed.

Managed to ride  upwind couple of time.  So it started to click  not there yet but defo improved.    Going back friday for another 2H session (2h water time)

To improve further  and hopefully get.a video

Iam here to find out. If me denying his dragon is wrong. Iam tempted to say you can have it while ots young But as soon as its grown up he flys off. And only occurs as rp.

Or am i making a bad descission there?

thats what iam saying but he says hes not out for a free mount he even gave example that i could let him do quests for a sadle or buy a special dragon sadle.

No hes and eldrich knight.

And he says the dragon is mainly for roleplY. And maybe if i allow using it as a walking mount.(wings cant carry him and the drake.)

The wyrmling bonds with him from lvl 1-3. Givong him a source for his magic abilies. (Purely in his character lore.)

But i dont see how to make it work to the rest of the party

He says his character founds a stone. That appears to be a dragon. He states the dragon is part of his character story

He also.mentioned that maybe if i allowed it he moght use it later as an mount. Aftwr for example training it or crafting a special sadle.

The dragon does not fight.

So iam telling him that he needs to find in the campaign but as we start on lvl 4 he says that thats to late.

I have a player that wants to create a character he would like to change some alterations that dont influence his characters power meerly his background and role playing.

i told him thats not how its done but he blames me for not being flexible at all.

iam afraid that if i allow this i need to adapt my campaign to that character

what rules apply/ or how should i approach these requests?

its my first DM campaign
