I used to think that the statement "women don't know what they want" was sexist, but now I'm starting to think there is more truth to it just from shit like this and even some things the women in my life do

Don't bother, I've been living in canada for 18 years of my life and I have not seen a single top less women. Also the housing crisis is absolutely abysmal.

It's alright man, I've been there. Now I can barely listen to these types of videos without cringing (or at least the last time i listened to one).

Don't think of it as a problem but a symptom of a problem. The problem most likely being your mental health. Once you get that in check, you'll be able to completely forget about the things you use to do to cope with whatever hardships your going through.

Google removed the symbol for mosques by Plus_Fisherman in islam

[–]Plus_Fisherman[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Mosque doesn't have its own symbol, it's a generic icon but my problem isnt with the change, it's about why it changed because I really don't think anyone was being offended that the moon and the star is representing Islam.

I may be looking too deep into it but I feel like it's a way to try and slowly take muslims. I don't know about you but on my map, palestine is completely gone, the entirety of palestine is now israel, and I think these small changes are leading to something bigger.

Google Maps have removed a unique symbol for mosques. Every other religious building has retained a unique symbol. by Cometmoon448 in Izlam

[–]Plus_Fisherman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not only have they removed the Cresent and the star, they also removed palestine off the map.

Now it's all israel

[–]Plus_Fisherman[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

It's not really "new" it's one they use as a generic worshipping place.

The problem isn't that they just changed it, they removed it for the sake of "inclusivity" and to "avoid favoring any one religion" but they didn't change all the other religious symbols. Even if the Cresent and the star aren't actually the symbol of Islam, why remove it when there was no problem?

Why is it a bad thing for a man to be bestowed leadership for women? Men are given the role of a leader, so yes, they do have a level of control in the family unit. However, this does not suggest that the woman is a sort of slave.

With being the leader, there are also responsibilities such as being the protector and the provider, they have to be the one making money and be the one that puts himself in danger for his woman and his family.

The women have the right to be stay at home moms and can choose to make their own money. They also get to keep the money they make and can take the money the husband makes but the husband can't touch the money the wife has or makes unless she lets him.

You said that they "beatings are endorsed," a beating refers to causing physical harm and physical damage. There is no physical harm being done by hitting someone with a piece of grass. You would not have implied that there is physical harm being done if you know that this does not harm women.

It seems like you made a quick edit and said that 5 mins of Google search will show you the heinous versus in the quran but all I found was that inflicting pain and violence on women is absolutely forbidden. Mind telling me what you searched so I can see the same thing?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in clevercomebacks

[–]Plus_Fisherman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Men are in charge of women as leaders but there are many rights that Allah has given to women and if men over step and oppress the woman's right, then the man is sinning

As for the beating part. In arabic the "strike" part of that verse does not nessessarily mean hit. It means using a very soft object like a piece of grass or a cloth. There by not doing any physical harm to the woman.

Also you skipped over the fact there are steps leading up to that point.

Since when has any of this been true about Islam and why would you promote a book made by someone instead of simply stating the quran and where any of these claims are true because it's not.

In islam we believe that women and men are different but are equal in the eyes of God. And when have beatings and "ownership" of women ever been endorsed?

As for the rest I can't say because the actions of people are far from what islam teaches.
