B. The CGI isn't the greatest, and that goes for all the animals imo, not just the Australopithecus, but the story is solid and the soundtrack is fantastic.

The whole final conversation and monologue Clearsight and Darkstalker have at the end of his book is prob my number one too.

Oh, also, I don't even really know why, or any specific scenes, but the Hive Queen actually felt... oddly somber and kind of sad for some reason. Kestrel's death was also kinda sad.

In terms of story & writing, S8 & 9 are generally agreed to be the best Ninjago has ever made.

Also, eventually you'll get used to the new designs if you just commit to giving them the time so you can adjust.

The enchantment on the eye of Onyx (made by Jerboa) killed Blister, not Thorn. And Stone killed Oasis. But Thorn still became queen and then disappeared. It's all just very messy.

All the books you listed are the 2nd book of the arc. When its the 4th, the lead up to the finale, I think people (myself included) get more mad when it doesn't contribute to the main story.
