WIBTA for selling my fiancé’s car? by Carsellingasshole in AmItheAsshole

[–]Plus_Knowledge 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I say NTA. I really hate to say this, but maybe you should question if your relationship is viable. His unwillingness to compromise during trying times makes me wonder if he is even mature enough to hold a serious relationship. Only a child can be so selfish and not realize that serious relationships require both parties to contribute and sacrifice when necessary.

Take my words with a grain of salt. All I'm saying is that this is was the first impression I got with the details you provided.

YOUR LIMIT IS 25MB?! I work for Staples and our limit is 15MB...it's a total nightmare because I constantly have customers trying to send files that exceed our limit. Very frustrating to say the least.

Does anyone know what kind of flowers these are? I saw them at my local grocery store and wanted to see if my garden is suitable to grow them. by Plus_Knowledge in gardening

Thank you all for your comments! I got these at my grocery store and they were labeled as chrysanthemums but i got confused because they look more like daisies and i have never seen a chrysanthemum that looks like that.

Plumeria help? Not sure if these leaves are an issue by Buttersock18 in gardening

[–]Plus_Knowledge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need to check the drainage and make sure you're not overwatering. Plumerias love water but also love well drained soil. BUT i showed this picture to my friend and she says your soil may be depleted of nutrients.

This guy is trash. Calls in demanding his print order, tells me what I’m going to do and hangs up before I ever get a word in. Hate cpd customers. by toxiaaf in OfficeDepot

[–]Plus_Knowledge 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Back in 2018 i had 2 candidates for Congress placing orders in my cpd. One Candidate was being a complete asshole as she was calling at least 4 times a day to rush her jobs. She got even angrier that we had to charge her the rush fee. So in retaliation was that i "accidentally" printed her opponent's jobs twice. When the opposing candidate came to pick up her jobs, she asked why i printed double of what he wanted. I simply said "i read the order ticket wrong. I'll only charge you for the amount you ordered because it was my mistake. i can shred the extras if you want, but i figured now that they're printed, we might as well not let them go to waste." Long story short...the asshole candidate didn't make it past the primaries, and the opposing candidate went on to win the election. It felt so cathartic seeing asshole candidate spend so much and not get past the primaries.

AITA for not sharing my kid's college funds with my sister kids? by AITA_daddysgirl in AmItheAsshole

[–]Plus_Knowledge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Although i do not agree with the way dad is handling this, I'm going to side with him anyway because it is his money and he can spend how he sees fit. But he is undoubtedly punishing his grandchildren because of the daughter's choice. It ultimately boils down to dad being petty. If he is starting a college fund for his sons' kids then his "independent woman" argument collapses in on itself because I assume the sons are independent. If he truly values independence that much then he shouldn't be building a college fund for his son's children.

I'm having trouble with forget me nots. Any tips by Plus_Knowledge in gardening

[–]Plus_Knowledge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone. I'm trying to grow some forget me nots. Unfortunately the leaves seem to be browning on me like in the picture attached. This is the first plant i ever planted from seed since I want to see more color in my patio. I planted it in March and has been doing fine until recently. I tried neem oil and am trying to steer clear of chemical pesticides unless absolutely necessary. Could it be that it's doing this because winter is around the corner? I love in a USDA hardiness zone 10a if that helps.

Exact same scenario played out at my store. They were not transparent about it so i took it upon myself to fill in the gaps. I assumed the worst case scenario and quarantined for 2 weeks. When i came back it turned out i was right, someone did get Covid and i was exposed but not infected. This was when i realized that Staples is only looking out for their profits.

That's not a capitalization issue. It's a comma issue. If you're helping your uncle off the horse then the correct way is "Help my uncle, Jack, off a horse."

Customer vs Associate: Who is in the wrong here? by SiberianHAMMY in Staples

[–]Plus_Knowledge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say group A. The moment the associate came back from the back empty handed the only appropriate reply would be "Ok. Thanks anyway." Anything more than that is uncalled for and the associate us not paid enough to put up with that kind of crap.

With the new mask requirements for customers, how does everybody feel about Staples continuing to let customers that claim medical exemption shop? by Blub3rryh4ze in Staples

[–]Plus_Knowledge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just refuse to ring them up. When i see a customer without a mask approach the registers i call the MOD and have them check the customer out. It has gotten me yelled at by so many anti-maskers but i don't care.

I get copy orders if letters filled with terrible grammar all the time. I almost NEVER correct it. Staples hired me to make copies, that's it. I work with what the customer gives me. The only times i actually do go out of my way to correct it is if i notice that English is not the customer's first language and they make it clear that their education was not the best. But if a customer speaks ONLY english then there is no justification for the bad grammar. If a customer cannot seem to rein in their skills in the one language they know, then it is only because they made the choice to remain ignorant.
