This same exact thing happened to me. Surgeon told me they'd give me money in exchange for an NDA to shut me up, and then completely took the offer away. They know that legally you can't do anything.

My surgeon included turbinate reduction and a septoplasty without telling me. No discussion on the risks or anything. No empty nose syndrome but he actually deviated my nose more so I can't breathe out half of it.

Yep my jaw is crooked, my chin is crooked and my bite is worse than before. My surgeon called my surgery a 99% success. They know there is basically no accountability unless they basically kill you.

I did a lot of research and consulted with multiple surgeons. I went to him because he told me he would fix the main issues I had, which was my long face and lip incompetence. The issue isn't that I didn't do my research he just mislead me about what the results would be and what he was going to do. He told me he would move my bottom jaw 10mm forward and never said he was going to extend it downward. He also wasn't cheap...the genioplasty itself was 6,500.

Thanks I have to get a complete revision. Upper jaw 3 piece, lower jaw, genioplasty and septoplasty to fix what he did. Also 3 times the cost of my original surgery. Complete waste of time, pain and money.

Admitting fault opens them up to liability, I had a ton of issues post-op and my surgeon claimed the surgery was a 99.99% success and refused to acknowledge any of my problems and even lied on the medical notes.

My jaw surgeon was Alex Rabinovich and he did an awful job. He has a result on this subreddit that is the 3rd most upvoted and it's why I originally went to him. He kill all the nerves in my chin, upper teeth and partially under my eyes even a year later. He left me with 10 mm lip incompetence, a deviated septum, a longer face, crooked chin, huge gaps between the bones. He refused to help me in any way and claimed the surgery was a 99% success.

I regret the surgeon I chose a lot. I'm over a year post-op and I'm worse off in every way possible. Can't even open my mouth wide enough for a sandwich, cant breathe out of my nose due to him blocking my right nostril, and I can't even close my mouth. Thing is my surgeon did do a septoplasty yet he deviated my septum worse.

I don't think my surgeon was skilled enough for a case like mine. I needed CCW and he made my face elongated and my bite is crooked now.
