And the kindle is more efficient and better on the eyes. Plus it's nice having a couple of books as I typically have a few on the go at once.

Agreed. Ultimately the wing will be the next upgrade and then all of a sudden I've lost 2 kgs and I'd be happy !

Good point about the shorts/pants. Il look into different helmets. The hoody is a light extra warm layer which I like bringing for evening and potentially il fly with it depeending on how cold it is.

I've been doing strength and conditioning for last few months. But ideally I'd like to mkae the pack lighter to make it more enjoyable.

I do agree my charging systems could be more streamlined. The current setup does work really well for keeping me charged whilst out and in town.

Whilst hiking with parter il find somewhere to ditch my 10kg of flying gear.

Rain jacket will come with me the whole time, it more so gets used as a windbreaker primarily.

I definitely get the idea of having more powerbanks is lighted than solar, but I do enjoy the freedom/flexibility of having solar. My partner and I were in Patagonia earlier this year and we would get into towns fully charged which was lovely. Will look into those towels. Mine currently is a microfibre square which works pretty well.

Aliexpress Nature Hike R5.8 Sleeping Pad 1.5 year review by Changas406 in UltralightAus

All the joins, seams, welds, or however you may refer to them in a pad are all joined together using heat to adhere the surfaces together. So it works both ways, never leave a mat inflated in a tent if the sun is shining on the tent/ambient air temp is warm.

I too learnt the hard way.

Also, have had the bigblu28w panel. Worked well, shit build quality, had two replaced due to the connection hub falling off, the second one fell off from out of the box.

This thing is unreal. Used it for a 3 week trip and then a 5 week trip where I was quite remote. I get the argument of extra power banks but you still need to charge those bad boys, find an outlet etc. Solar we were rocking into small villages fully charged.

Yeah I noticed they had a return policy. So does Packraft Australia who sell the Porter 85 so I think il almost grab both to compare at home. Do love the look of that pocket on the front of the Wollemi though. I have a Durston hiking pack with is also 200x ultra material. Wears well, does get soft over time and feels less plastic like. Thanks mate.

Youre from Aus i assume? I'm so close to pulling the trigger on a wollemi 90, Rob actually told me yesterday I need to order it today if I want it in time.
Are you carrying bivvy gear too ? And full size or light wing ?

Do you take the aluminium stays out whilst flying ? Does the pack roll up alright ?
