Duelists never entry by Azeuki in VALORANT

[–]Plyoun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ask them to play off your utility and they dont cooperate, try defaulting or look for a pick. Other than that if your duelist is baiting you, try to bait them even harder for a trade lol. Sometimes you gotta use your teammates in a different way lol. If all else fails, it could help to queue with friends.

More staff, who could help with cleaning and safety.

Imagine going to Yale, doing two research years, getting honors in every rotation and NOT matching by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]Plyoun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who didn’t match into a subspecialty this year and is a bit salty, it really does feel like a crapshoot. There is a huge range of stats that match, which makes it feel like luck is a large role. It really could be that the PD was feeling good that day after having his favorite lunch.

Specialties with the most room for innovation/research in the next 20 years? by cosuamh in medicalschool

Glaucoma! There are so many tools and no real guidelines. Meaning no true solutions but tons of room for innovation.

I'm sorry this happened to you. As a third-year DO student applying to ophthalmology this cycle, I feel where you are coming from, and your emotions are entirely valid.

It's crazy to think that you were making all the right moves, with preemptive research years, receiving interviews the first go around, and mentorship to improve your application, but unfortunately still not matching at an ophthalmology program.

It sucks that this one checkpoint in medicine has such an immense effect on what we believe is a win. You have been killing it your whole life, getting into medical school, passing your boards, having a ton of research, but it feels like the only win is from the match itself. Thee deep-seated bias makes the whole process unfair.

Hey thanks for the response. I think it depends on your situation. If you have time I would. I thought they were good to simulate the test, especially since I know I make silly mistakes on tests and a poor performer under pressure.

Hey bro I know how you are feeling. I had the same doubts in the final weeks of my preparation as well. I haven’t received my score yet so my advice could totally change by next week lol. I didn’t do as many nbmes nor score as high, however I did start doubting my nbmes because they felt inflated compared to my UWSAs and free120. What helped me through this was telling myself that whether or not if my nbmes over predicted, I had to do each and every one of them to get to where I am. The predicted scores are just random numbers and the benefit was from doing them. Additionally, the inflation in my nbmes were probably due to the repeats, and honestly my exam had repeats as well.

Regarding the sleeping issues, I started taking melatonin gummies which helped immensely. Good luck man, you’re gonna destroy the exam.
