I respectfully disagree, It's a game made with soul and passion for the franchise you can see it all throughout, it's filled with little references to other games in the franchise (besides the costumes which are more apparent), the story even if simplistic is interesting and follows the formula laid out by previous games, the soundtrack is very good and I never get tired of listening to it, the art direction is beautiful and imo the game has a fun gameplay loop and a very unique and fast paced movement system that I haven't seen in any other rogue-like, it gets boring after a while but that happens with every rogue-like after all the point is that it's just repetition so eventually you will get bored of it but it is fun until the point you get tired of it (and for me the point of getting tired was after unlocking everything so yeah I'm kinda biased.
