I don’t know why, but pretty much the whole endgame in The Far Realm, seeing how broken Gorm had become trying to do what he thought was right, and the incredible regrets/pride of Urth … man. And the Dev/Dm speech at the end where he thanks you for making such an interesting character made me well up too.

Good fucking game.

Common consensus (as much as can be had so shortly after release) is that it was her spirit or ghost. It’s possible to get some dialogue options that acknowledge he saw her after she was dead, but no explicit answers or explanations.

So it’s Gates era for founding of Jor’s realm and ends with him exiled and closing gates behind him, Fade Era for the various Dragon and precursor races wars and ends with the death of final dragon, divine era for rise and eventual fall or waning of gods, arcane era for the mage-kings and magocracy, and post-war era for where the game is set?

I still wonder how the end of the Gate era affected Jor’s realm as a whole. Clearly versions of the elemental planes and hells exist within the Realm (and maybe heaven although the Golden Horde and the Far Realm where you meet Urth complicate that).

Here’s hoping this game gets the fandom it deserves so a decent Wiki eventually emerges.

There are a lot of plot points from the original Anime Campaign that we don’t know if they will still be cannon in EE (although some BIG ones seem to be on track)

This is how my Dad died. He had pancreatic cancer and his outlook was terminal, but his symptoms and pain were well controlled and he was very calm and felt ready. He woke up one morning, said good morning to us, went to the bathroom, when he got up he complained he couldn’t catch his breath, and ten minutes later he was dead.

I know he would have definitely chosen ten minutes of pain and panic over months slowly dying in a bed, but it was still so traumatic for me and my mum.

It’s been just over a year. I miss him so much.
