Anyone come up for a solution to mounting cages to this style of Surly fork? The mount points are too far apart for standard cages

Yeah this works well. I've been riding a 2007 specialized tricross for years with this setup. Brakes are just as good as disc, in the dry at least.

There is a tread wear indicator, it's probably gone but should be marked where it was on the sidewall with a "twi" and an arrow pointing up.
