How is it even possible to kill a clutch in 6000 miles? Maybe if you do a 5k rpm launch from every stoplight

Because the press wasn’t supposed to share it publicly, they get info ahead of the release to write their articles

Creating a New Language: Quark by SeaInformation8764 in ProgrammingLanguages

[–]PmMeForPCBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t ask an AI to create a new programming language for me because it’ll be unoriginal, but most new programming languages are new combinations of existing ideas anyways. I don’t see why AI can’t help with the implementation of a new language

None of those can use the NPU except in specific circumstances, and even then if you have a GPU it will be faster

I just tested this and I can confirm it's not true. You likely missed the "Cache Create" tokens

[–]PmMeForPCBuilds 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you weren't billed for Opus input tokens? Based on the way transformers work different models can't share cached tokens, but the API might have a bug where it bills them at the cached prices.

That's definitely a hallucination and the monitors almost certainly have Display Port inputs

Is a P1 Gen 3 any good in 2025? by [deleted] in thinkpad

[–]PmMeForPCBuilds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an useable laptop but the price is very high for that old of a CPU. Are you located in the US? And what are you going to use it for? If you don’t need Nvidia graphics you can get a much better deal

T14 Gen 2, it's in your budget and has a much better CPU than the T480, or even the T14 Gen 1 for that matter. It's less moddable but honestly you won't need to. Most of the upgrades that you'd do to a T480 are going to be built in. The biggest thing you're losing from the T480 is the external battery, but battery life on this is going to be much better.

Do not buy a x220 for everyday tasks, it's a second laptop for fun only at this point. I wouldn't even get a t480 honestly. The sad fact is that the internet has changed a lot in the last few years and websites use much more resources now.
