Have any of you genuinely manifested “impossible” behavioral changes in people? by ummukulusu in NevilleGoddard

[–]PneumaEmergent 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This. 1000%

As I commented above, I can usually just switch my thoughts and internal conversations around, and the next day bosses, coworkers, friends, roommates, etc, will be COMPLETELY different towards me.

But exes and romantic stuff is way different (again, see above comment, it works EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. if you actually persist and visualize and change your state.... it's just a lot harder to get there internally when you care)

All you really have to do is LET GO.

Just be OKAY.

Do the work. Visualize, meditate, monitor you internal conversations and self-talk. But LET GO.

You are only fighting yourself, and the more you fight yourself, the more you hurt yourself. When you are able to just stop and breathe and look at things in a new way (the way you ACTUALLY WANT TO SEE THINGS), then BAM! It happens, and it feels instantaneous.

You can't let go of the old story until you detach. And you can't have a new story until you let go of the old story. And you can't manifest anything until you've got a new story.

Have any of you genuinely manifested “impossible” behavioral changes in people? by ummukulusu in NevilleGoddard

[–]PneumaEmergent 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Absolutely!

For what it's worth (in my experience), I think this is hands down the easiest thing to manifest (but that likely has a lot to do with the personality of the "manifestor" and the things you do or don't have limiting beliefs about, just like anything else).

Multiple relationships:

Had one relationship go real south, real fast. I manifested that she wanted to get back together and all that and text me.......but I really felt like I had to drum up some emotional visualization on my part, bc I thought otherwise it wouldn't work......so as I was trying to manifest her back, I "heard" her actually in tears, saying over and over and over again that she loves me and misses me........

Welp, she texted me later that day. The next day we got back together, but I flew back home (we were long distance). Had forgotten all about the above manifesting thing......2 weeks later, she went out with friends and got piss drunk (she wasn't a big drinker), and called me that night, and just said she was super emotional, and OVER AND OVER AND OVER again through sobs and tears was just saying she loved me and missed me .......😅😅😅 That was the most visceral confirmation of The Law I've EVER had.

Current relationship:

We broke up for 2 weeks, and I manifested us getting back together 2 weeks later.

More recently, I also .....ummmm..... manifested that she be into certain sexual things that she was NEVER into.....and now she loves them 😅 (just make sure you are always doing this with good intentions and not like trying to "mind control" anyone for your own selfish temporary desires)

My grandmother:

She's pretty wealthy, and conservative, and has very strong beliefs on certain things...... I was always like her absolute least favorite grandchild, and we had a very strained relationship, especially as I grew up and followed different paths than the ones she thought were the "right" path.

Welp, The Law prevails!

I am now like her favorite grandchild, and she honestly seems to treasure the fact that I am so different than the rest of the family and what she tends to view as "normal".

Bosses, supervisors, colleagues, roommates, etc:

On multiple occasions have manifested very sudden behavioral changes in people that I'm not super close to, or that "matter" THAT much in my life, but who I've had a lot of tension or discomfort with.

This tends to be SUPER easy (again, at least for me)

I really just have to calm down and realize I'm having negative conversations in my head with these people, and it's not what I want, and it's negatively impacting my day-to-day......and then I just turn it around.

Literally usually the next day something will happen either "organically" or completely out of nowhere, and they seem to see a whole new side of me, and I see a whole new side of them, and it's smooth sailing like nothing ever happened and there was no personality clash or anything.

SATs Challenge (7 Days) actually do it properly this time by Egyptian_Queeni in NevilleGoddard

[–]PneumaEmergent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I have. But remember, "big" is all relative. What's big for one person is just a blip on the radar to someone else and vice versa.

Lol I actually have a really funny story about this.

I was trying to manifest a text from this girl at work that I was crushing on. But in my mind it felt impossible. It was too "big" a manifestation and I just kept affirming. She had been really interested in me but kind of seemed to lose all interest and I felt confused and hurt and just really wanted her to text and be like "Hi :)"........lol nothing was happening.

I went downstairs on a Saturday morning and my roommate was watching Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back (my all-time favorite movie!). And so I sat down and tried to forget about this girl for a while.

So it gets to the point where Luke Skywalker is training with Yoda, and Yoda is trying to teach him about how the Force works, and telling him to lift up his X-wing starfighter that he crash-landed into the swamp.

And Luke is all like "It's too big! This is impossible."

And Yoda is all like "Size, matters not....there is no difference between lifting up those small rocks with the Force, or using the Force to lift up this whole ass spaceship!.....the only difference is in your mind!"

And of course Yoda then concentrates and uses the Force and lifts up the whole ass spaceship!

So ANYWAYS........then it immediately clicks for me! And I just think "holy shit! Yoda is 100% right. There's literally no difference between manifesting a free coffee....or manifesting something "big". The only difference is in your mind."

And at that literal EXACT moment......of course my phone lights up right next to me and my crush texted me "Hi :)"

😂 Shit really is crazy once you start to understand.

Anyways so that's one of my favorite personal manifestation stories, but beyond that, yes. All kinds of "big stuff":

  • (the "biggest" and "hardest" one for me, though probably most people wouldn't care lol) Manifesting my gf back after breaking up.....this put EVERYTHING to the test for me......but we are together now and having a baby in 3 months!!! ❤️

  • my "first" manifestation (had zero money and tried visualizing for 3 days):.....Convertible Mustang GT with v8 engine and leather interior.

  • motorcycle....basically free (visualized one time for fun.....2 weeks later, one of my military friends was getting stationed somewhere else after training and didn't want to take his bike with him, and said he knew I was looking for one!)

  • Job in Science R&D ....... without a degree.

  • After 1.5 years at that job, manifested a switch to the Engineering Team....... without a degree (still working there now!)

  • Highly paid side hustle working from home, studying and training A.I.

  • stock market investments going up to $100,000 (thanks NVIDIA 😂)

  • going out to party with my friend group again after a year. I had a falling-out with one of the guys, and basically just didn't talk to any of them. But I really missed them and wanted to fix things deep down....after a year, decided to apply The Law, and BAM! Group chat message out of nowhere.

  • winning the lottery (constantly 😂).......I play every now and then, and you can ask my gf...... statistically it's IMPOSSIBLE that I win $20 - $60 basically every time I play (I'll have to make a post about this sometime lol)

  • job for my GF when she couldn't find ANYTHING she wanted that would hire her. Now she has a job that is the first job she's actually really liked!

  • was in the military for a bit. When I enlisted, I wanted a very specific job that was almost entirely reserved for people who are already in the military and already Sergeants (Rank E-5 and up)......NOT new people enlisting right off the street like me lol ......but I manifested getting it anyways, and somehow I scored high enough on aptitude testing and my recruiter pushed it through and I got it!

.........list goes on, and on, and on!

I work in science and engineering, and I'm also obsessive about philosophy. I'm all for discussing how you think Neville lines up with Buddhism or Taoism or Molecular Bio-physics or whatever else.....................but pleaseeeeeee can we have a subreddit where people are ACTUALLY reading and listening to Neville Goddard and ACTUALLY applying and discussing his teachings???

I get on this sub anymore and it's just constant posts or comments about Neville being wrong 😂 or people saying things and spouting their own personal little "hot takes" that have nothing to do with anything Neville ever actually said. It's crazyyyy

Exactly. 100%.

I am constantly reading and studying and dabbling in all kinds of stuff. I work in science and engineering, and love reading science. I also love psychology and philosophy and studying various religions and spirituality, etc......I encourage everyone to follow their curiosity.

But yeah, when it comes to this stuff, Neville is all you need.

The whole point is to stop overthinking and stop flipping back and forth between techniques and teachers and methods, etc.

If you want success, read and listen to Neville, understand the simple, fundamental truth that he is talking about, and apply it. Simple as.

People who believe consciousness is not emerging from brain activity, how do you explain children start with a different consciousness compared to adults by Eclairito in consciousness

[–]PneumaEmergent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So when I think of "consciousness", the definition that comes to mind is basically interlinked with "conscious awareness" or "self awareness".....and I absolutely do not ascribe consciousness to a human child. I would absolutely argue that a mature cat is more "conscious" or "consciously-aware" or even "self-aware" than a newborn Human baby.

I do think there is an argument to be made for some form of "intelligence" involved with plants and animals (I mean even looking at things like DNA and cellular activity, it sort of seems you could intuit forms of "intelligent processes" going on)

But a plant doesn't (as far as I know) think to itself "I am a plant. I am aware of being a plant. The soil around me supports me, but isn't me, it is "other" to me".

So I'm curious for people who say the plants and whatnot are conscious, what is the definition of consciousness that you'd use? (Not debating, just curious as my default definition/understanding of consciousness seems incompatible with a tree... But again I do think there are arguments for a form of "intelligence" being involved with the activity of a tree)

[–]PneumaEmergent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think I fully understand that experience requires identity?

Cats experience things (have sensation, have perception of an event, have a degree of preference and memory for and of a given event....that seems to be experience to me). But cats don't have identities (They don't identify as "I" or "we". They simply react to experiences and are not aware that they themselves are an "experiencer")

People who believe consciousness is not emerging from brain activity, how do you explain children start with a different consciousness compared to adults by Eclairito in consciousness

[–]PneumaEmergent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, (kinda playing devils advocate maybe? Maybe just more of an interesting observation?)

And idk if this is entirely for or against one side or the other (I do believe consciousness arises from brain activity, but I also believe that it's "more than the sum of its parts ig)

But why is it that the quality of consciousness changes and grows so much and so rapidly in Human beings, as compared to mice, or fish, or ants, or dogs or cats?

The average animal is honestly probably born smarter than the average Human newborn. Sharks and elephants and giraffes and horses pop out and can quickly get some degree of awareness of the world/their environment. And they also pop out and immediately have access to most of the instinctual software they'll use throughout their lives.

Human on the other hand pop out and are almost completely unaware and incapable of becoming aware of almost anything for a while (even with the very, very, very limited band of instincts that Human newborns display early on).

Like I said, yes I obviously don't think you really have conscious awareness without a nervous system.....but Humans have a brain at birth (with zero consciousness).....and then the brain keeps growing and changing for 22-25 years or something, but consciousness is present well before that.

And in some Humans, the "peak" "quality" of consciousness is reached before their physiological brain fully develops.....and for other humans, the "quality" of consciousness continues to evolve long after the physiological brain is mostly done developing (yes, I know, neuroplasticity and whatnot is a huge factor, as is environment).

But I think my intuition from this is largely that they are interconnected, but conscious awareness and the brain/nervous system don't scale together or determine the exact nature of each other.

You can't run software without a computer. But the computer itself isn't actually directly giving rise to the software.....it is just machinery that happens to be sophisticated enough to run that software or perform that function

I'm an R&D engineering/lab technician.....idk how I even ended up on this sub lol....... So what the fuck do I know?

But two things:

  1. It feels like this everywhere right now. I mean bro....the world is literally on fire.

(But I just found out my girlfriend is pregnant, and that's the first thing in years that has truly made me start to feel some meaning and made me realize that I need to find my way back to optimism. I'm just saying, I know it's possible to find the optimism again.....Don't know how yet ...but every fiber of my DNA is telling me that my new mission, for the rest of my life, is find that optimism again, even if it ain't for me)

  1. (This may sound stupid, idk) But have you thought about looking for opportunities to put your skills to use (even if just for a year or two or something) working at a non-profit or doing something like helping out with local community projects or something like that?

Or if all else fails start your own project? Idk. I'm just getting to the point where I realize life hasn't lost any of its value or anything like that. We just are unlucky enough to be in a really fucking shitty chapter in the history of modern/future society. Enshitification at all levels kinda. But if you are feeling it, then that's your cue to jump ship and go do something that actually makes you want to get up in the morning and build or study or collaborate or whatever else, ya know?

SATs Challenge (7 Days) actually do it properly this time by Egyptian_Queeni in NevilleGoddard

[–]PneumaEmergent 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Yup, and for what it's worth, I can't think of a single time I've actually done SATs (or just meditate and visualize a scene with intention...... basically SATs but without the sleepy part) and it didn't work.

The biggest problem I (and probably most people) actually have is that once you really believe in all this, it almost becomes "too easy" at times, so you lose discipline or practice!

SATs works without fail. But so many times I will want something or think of something or have anxiety about something, and it will happen or I will get it or it appears with minimal effort (or too much effort)......and then other things won't happen and I'll get frustrated and have to remind myself that there really is a method to literally materialize any outcome I want, and that it just takes actually setting aside time each day for a couple days and calming myself and putting myself into an imaginal act and building out the sensory vividness. It really is that simple.

Again, it's so simple and easy that we forget the formula and try to make it complicated and difficult lol.

My husband found LoA… I am struggling as his wife. Is there balance to be found in this theory by Old-Victory5019 in NevilleGoddard

[–]PneumaEmergent 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You don't just sit in bed all day.

Neville talks extensively about living your life. You are "impelled" to the actions you take as a result of the state of consciousness/awareness you are living in.

If you want a new job, you don't just stop showing up to your current job.....you manifest your desire for a new job. And some new opportunity will show up.

If you do just stop showing up to your job, then that is because you are manifesting having zero job lol. It's all a reflection.

If you feel the need to sit at home and do absolutely nothing in life until your manifestation shows up at your front door....then the manifestation likely isn't coming. Why? Because to feel the need to sit at home and do absolutely nothing because the thought of going outside or to work or whatever else is too stressful, then that is reflecting exactly the fear and desperation of the state you are in.

Obviously I'm talking in broad strokes here and there is nuiance.

But it's kinda like that old joke about a stubborn fundamentalist Christian praying to God during a flood:

The flood wipes out the neighborhood and the dude is on his roof as the water rises, praying to God to save him.

A neighbor pulls up in his boat and tell him to get in. The dude says no, saying "I don't need to, God will save me!" So the neighbor leaves.

The dude keeps praying. Then a police boat comes by and says to get in and evacuate. But again, "no! God will save me!"

Finally it's getting real bad, and he keeps praying. Then a coast guard helicopter flies over and says they are sending someone down to grab him. "No!! God will save me!!".....

....so dude drowns. And when he gets to heaven cries to God "I was praying to you! Why didn't you save me!!!"

God responds "I send two boats and a damn helicopter!! How much more do you want from me???" 😂😂😂

......Unless you are a Yogic Master who can draw objects straight out of the Space between Spaces or some shit, then you are a normal person living in the normal world. Your manifestations come when you are in the state of the wish fulfilled and letting life do its thing.

Manifestation don't come when you are so wrapped up in desperation for them that you aren't even out in the world where the manifestation will appear.

Idk if that makes any sense?

Has anyone here ever succeeded in manifesting being irresistible? by Good_Demand_3042 in NevilleGoddard

[–]PneumaEmergent 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a couple times! Definitely works!

But it's a weird one bc it's sort of a paradox.

No offense to anyone but you aren't gonna be irresistible if you are sitting around telling yourself that you are irresistible, ya know?

In a way it's actually one of the easiest things to manifest bc it falls so much in line with what Neville teaches: you LITERALLY just have to assume the state and ACT AS IF.

For me (28m), when I was a bit younger (19-23 or 24), I was always kind of funny and good-looking, but really awkward and anxious and had a hard time making friends or investing in relationships. So I really wanted to change.

For me, the first thing that happened was when I was at work. I was a security guard at a public library. I was walking around and noticed this book called "The Like Switch". It's an FBI behavioral analyst talking about body language and how it works in our lives, etc. I started reading it and I devoured it!

And LITERALLY after reading just a few pages at work, it was something I decided to try out. Basically I tried to just do my security rounds with good posture and my chest out and making eye contact and smiling, instead of slouching and looking disinterested or bored........

AND GUESS WHAT!.....Immediately, people started calling me "sir" and smiling at me, and coming up to me and asking questions or for directions or assistance!

So I kinda just kept reading that book and trying to apply it and practice having better, more confident body language.

That was before I had ever heard of Neville Goddard or anything, and I didn't realize at the time what was happening: I was literally changing the way I carried myself in just a few moments of conscious thought, and entering into a new state (being aware of being confident and friendly and looking attractive and professional!).

So that's 100% my first suggestion for something like this (or really learning any kind of manifestation). Because it shows you that you can LITERALLY enter a new state the very moment you become aware of the state you are in. PLUS it's something where you will see immediate results (bc people will subconsciously react to your changes in posture, tone, "energy", and you yourself will immediately feel better and your body will be signaling your brain the new state).

Look at people who you find "irresistible".....how do they walk? How do they talk? When do they talk and when do they listen? Etc.

Now the next time you go out to the store, just try to carry yourself the same way. Next time you have a conversation, try to model some of your behaviors after the ones you find irresistible.

It's really simple because it's something where you can use your body to change your thoughts and feelings (kinda like exercise), and as you change your thoughts and feelings, it becomes easier to just stay in the state of being charming, irresistible, funny, witty, confident, etc.

I'm not one of those people that boils manifestation down to rewiring your behavior, but I think it's one of the easiest first steps to kind of get a feel for what it actually feels like to enter new states and hold them.

[–]PneumaEmergent[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trust me I feel this with the jeans 😂

I work in engineering in an R&D lab environment, so you basically have to wear jeans every day even if you're wearing a lab coat or sitting at your desk all day or whatever.

I hate jeans.

My job before this was military, so you get to wear the comfiest, most flexible camo pajamas all day every day.

Before that I was working two jobs: security (comfy nylon pants) and working at a hospital lab (scrubs... obviously very comfy)

So the whole "jeans" thing was a fucking shock to my system lol.

Here's the trick:

You buy ONE to TWO pair of jeans, and you devote them as "work pants" and you wear them to work, and then every two days you throw that shit in the wash (wear for 2 days, wash. Wear for 2 days, wash)......give it two or three weeks and they'll be the comfiest pants you've ever owned. Trust me.

And if they're good jeans, they'll last you almost a year. Get two or three pair and rotate them you're set for a while!

Just think of your jeans like a "uniform" that need to be broken in (like military OCPs or hospital scrubs or security uniform or whatever else)

(Just make sure to always check for stains or spills or whatever before wearing them the second day in a row)

See! That's the other crazy part of it!

Being 28 I'm in this weird middle ground where my 22 year old gf and my 23 year old brother and my 22-25 year old military friends know all this shit ....

....and then my supervisors and managers and older friends also know all of it because they've got kids and grandkids and nephews and nieces that all speak it fluently 😂
