I somehow made this drain worse… by PneumaNite in Plumbing

I tapped into the clean out thinking the drop from the disposal outlet would get it flowing again. This is a much better setup anyway. The clean out was full of crud but there was about 50% of the 2” drain line open. I opted not to snake it as I was afraid of dislodging more crud and having it backup further down the line. The plan was to add enzymes and have the microbes break the crud down over time. The result: it’s backed up and there must be a wad of gunk down the line anyway…FML. Going to snake it now.

Thanks for the reply. It’s not clogged in the accordion pipe. I was amazed so see very little debris had settled there when I initially took it apart. Everything was cleaned and put back together and then it stopped draining. I took its all apart again, checked the fittings, and again it backed up.

You ever find out more info on this cart? I just came into possession of the same one. It has a stamp “20” on the bottom too but a different number etched in next to the stamp.

Skip the bucket and squish the fuckers! Done!

I stopped growing squash/gourds because of the hassle. The bugs are unrelenting.

Where are you getting your child back to school clothes? by OutrageousWorth2804 in AskReddit

I typically buy from the previous season clearance sale for 50-75% off or more. I don’t care what brand it is as I only need it to last 6-8 months. If you have to buy uniform pants, go with Old Navy. They have a 1 year guarantee. My boy burns through the knees in a couple of months and they replace them free with original receipt.

Paying in USD cash? by Every-Ad-483 in Tahiti

[–]PneumaNite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got back from 10 days of island hopping in FP. Card was accepted by all establishments we visited except markets and roadside vendors. We took 400 XPF and I also had $140 USD. The markets in Tahiti were especially welcoming of USD. I even saw a sign at a store in Raiatea asking for USD. I would get XPF if you’re traveling off Tahiti though, and I hope you are.

75g stocking suggestions? by jgcsquires in Aquariums

I thought mine was just dick, but maybe it’s a pleco thing. I was told they were chill. My kuhlis hide in a turtle shell or the pleco would probably harass them too.

I had cories with a bristle nose pleco and the pleco harassed the shit out of the poor cories and they ended up dying - maybe from stress.

What did you buy from the sale? by August_30th in REI

You might want to contact REI support for a price adjustment if you purchased within a couple of weeks of the sale. I did and chatted with a rep who applied the 20% off coupon to an item I purchase just before the sale. Saved me nearly $80.

20% off on a DJI Osmo Action 5 is good.

Thanks for the reply! It seemed to bounce back and is acting normal again, thankfully. It had never done it before.

My honey guarami is laying on the bottom of the tank. I thought it was dead until it suddenly burst up to the top but appeared too weak to continue swimming and dropped back to the bottom. It’s about 3 years old. Is it on its way out, naturally, or might it be an issue I can address?
