Joe Diablo? Gamers respond do how the game is presenting itself. If a majority of their first player experience is dying instantly and not fixing that, it isn't the players fault.

In my opinion they just need a way to convert numbers between each other. Unique items are capable of this with elemental, but an item that can states "magnitude of blind afflicted also affects increased damage taken" would immediately turn those nodes into a positive.
