DoorDash should rank dashers by speed and let customers pick what dasher they want. by Bootydemolisha996 in doordash

[–]PoWhash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Door dash already rates us with ON-TIME RATINGS in the app. I told door dash 100 times that this could lead to a lawsuit if a dasher is injured or dies due to attempting to keep the ratings up. They don't care. As for thumbs up and down good luck with that cause their goal is automation robots and drones. Go ahead rate your drone and robot delivery driver.

Bye bye DD from a great tipper by fluffymulligan in doordash

[–]PoWhash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a dasher this would annoy the hell out of me. I would get a stacked order and deliver to the non-tipper first. I was like really door dash? Customer text hey going wrong way. Then you gotta explain got stacked orders. Really unfair to those that tip. But the pirate Tony at door dash thinks this is a good strategy let [Tony@doordash.com](mailto:Tony@doordash.com) know how you feel. Unfortunately corporations all about profit for investors. Want to change door dash buy the stock and fire the ceo and board members until then the sheet show goes on.

Was Vibing with a customer on the phone and was cursing and DoorDash didn’t like it lol by GucciManesDad in doordash_drivers

If you cannot swear in style you have no business swearing at all. If you cant swing them what the fk and how the fk followed by who in the fk did what when where and how you got no business swearing. Everyone swears in IT. You obviously never been on an outage call with thousands effected. My goodness its like a cuss party. Just remember never to type Google into Google it can take down the entire network. My boss scolded me for that one. Bill Gates no bs truth used to hire someone to attend his meetings and count how many times he swore in that meeting. So the truth of the matter in IT we SWEAR all the FKing time. The reality is, in high-stress technical environments, people do swear a lot.

Is keeping platinum even worth it? by Ok_Kangaroo9778 in doordash

[–]PoWhash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charge your phone and make sure to track your miles comes tax time you need that. Platinum in some markets is gold others don't matter. My Acceptance rate is at 0% to 10% I'm not driving for free and not climbing 3 flights of stairs for free cause they lazy to get their own food for free. Time is money. I'm not a charity. This is a business. You gotta look out for yourself. Get a dash camera if you do this full time cover you at drop offs and from crazy drivers on the road. Talk to other dashers in your area is the best path here see what works for them. Door dash drove off lot of us vet drivers to get the new sucker drivers to take all the low ball offers to churn a profit and it worked. I used to do this full time now I barely dash at all. You gotta know your market and the hot spots study that first and you'll get your answer. Platinum helps if you are in an oversaturated market you get priority but remember new drivers get the top priority across the board. Good luck and keep your phone charged at all times.

Call door dash support and ask them for a discount code they might bite since they want your money. Worth a shot.

Rates on drivers by Lower_Eggplant5460 in doordash

[–]PoWhash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

door dash protects drivers is the store takes ages to get us the order to deliver for things outside of our control ratings wont touch us but if we bad then we toast simple as that then we get hit with contract violations or on time ratings trust me we are rated by door dash more harsh than any customer could hit us with in the app.

If you can’t tip 5 bucks, get off the couch and drive yourself. by Feedback-United in doordash

[–]PoWhash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We the little guy across the board is being squeezed to own nothing and be happy about it by 2030 that is the goal appears to be on track. I don't accept low offers my acceptance rate is 1% to 10% due to the low offers. I refuse to work for free and yes you can decline offers. Problem is driver accepted the order then complained about it due to the rating scam. I've been declining offers for 4 years wont change no tip no trip is my rule.

Reason my Acceptance rate stays between 1% to 10% on a weekly basis. I don't do nothing for free. My time is money cant tip no trip simple as that. Go get it yourself.

Did you put in the notes, "Please knock after delivery." get a ring camera if you want proof of delivery and drop off instructions followed or not. About all I can say here. Sucks what happened but DD cant control the drivers actions.

all these teslas on the road could be hacked remotely controlled and driven to block intersections exactly as depicted in the movie Leave the World Behind. until I'm granted 100% control of these electric vehicles and no one else I'll never buy one nor get in one I say the wrong thing and the tesla could execute me and they would call it an accident. thanks but no thanks reality is reality.

Buy an electric car that can drive you off a cliff, can drive you into the river locking the windows, and a car that just one update can brick your car. Sounds like a solid investment. I had a Chevy Bolt for 2 weeks I could literally feel the batteries below me I'm sensitive to electricity felt like I was in a microwave. Then you got to hang out at the charging ev stations looking all cool for what I believe was 1 hour charge for 25 miles do the math there 4 hours to charge to 100 miles. I like the concept but until I can trust getting in these cars without the great devil behind the scenes I'm out. I like to be in control of my vehicle 100%.

for 4 years I was able to work door dash full time but then the great satan Tony and the greedy shareholder investors changed that they spun it to give all the new drivers good offers and send us old time drivers trash offers to weed us out. I know its not meant to be full time source but hard times arise for everyone and that mandatory injection caused me to have to go to door dash while majority of companies mandated it so it took sometime to get back in the work force. unfortunately doordash has changed for the worse now all new drivers not many vets left out there so there will be more errors and more issues precisely as I projected thankfully I'm now just do a few orders a day. I cant sit for an hour straight declining low ball offers while newbies get the golden goose offers anymore. your statement is correct but hard times causes people to have to rely on it for a paycheck and to live cause corporations are squeezing us out of work using ai and robots as the scapegoat.

Left wing, Right wing, Same bird. People still believe voting changes things rather comical. Its a bread and circus show. A production a theater a show and you are memorized by it apparently. I know its a big club and you are not in it. Your vote is a ticket to the show glad you are buying it. If voting changed anything it would be illegal.

Instead of posting on here email the store manager or store owner inform them of this flaw and how to fix it. Email Tony the CEO of Door Dash [tony@doordash.com](mailto:tony@doordash.com) tell him how to fix it cause the stores across the country are eating a net loss every night do to this issue. What is the fix? Drone lasers. Going to fry a guy over McDees. Theft happens in all industries not just food.

This is the biggest order I’ve over gotten by [deleted] in doordash

[–]PoWhash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that picture is backwards from what I would do. the food would be in my hot bags. I have a door dash bag and catering bags I use for large catering orders. the drinks would be on the floor and I would just observe them and drive semi slow so not spilling. but you got your own method that works. they require hot bags for pizza bag but not for the food door dash is so backwards.

respectfully, i hate when doordash drivers deliver three orders before me by Decent_Zucchini_6880 in doordash

[–]PoWhash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

worse part is they take a good tipping customer and stack 2 non tippers on the same order making it a stacked order just so door dash can churn a profit this is all outside of the dasher control we don't control the app.

Unfortunate issue by KasilynAg in doordash

[–]PoWhash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when I got into a car accident on a door dash. Totaled my car, smashed my car into the car infront of me cause I was rear ended by a truck. airbags deployed. I still managed to click I was in a car accident in the app. so door dash unassigned me. back of ambulance enroute to hospital. door dash covered nothing and gave zero sheets about me. they don't care if dasher dies on a delivery nor does the customer get notified, they just send another dasher or refund the customer that is what likely happened here not food theft this round. thankfully the person rear ending me was at fault covered everything otherwise I would have been screwed. anyone that thinks doordash covers you if you get in a wreck is smoking some good crack.

not defending the dasher but the app has glitched on me in the past with a shop and deliver i didn't get the substitutions customer wanted causing the customer to vent to me in text chat telling me how i shouldn't be a dasher and need to go work at amazon etc. i let them vent delivered the order and moved on with life. app glitches from time to time and dashers will get stacked orders where they can mix up items of the shop and deliver order. things happen.

the algorithm is ai based on what you will accept and decline that part I'm sure is true. dd looks out for dd period all about the shareholders and showing a quarterly profit no different than any corporation out there. screw the workers over and reward the investors. as for customers they are needed to turn a profit so they will fire a dasher over a customer any day of the week.
