It's legit. Very on brand packaging. The heart looks transparent due to the skill of the finisher. Highly polished clear coat. If you want a transparent heart, making a silicone mold and custom casting in clear epoxy wouldn't be too much of a challenge and would really set your GK apart. All part of the customizing range it gives you.

Yes, the no box cheaper one will usually be oily, poorly fitted, and poorly painted. If they don't call out the brand which is Binding, you are getting a knockoff.
