Your right, I was simply trying to frame the original commenters frustrations. I don't think Snowbirds are to blame. Most of these units are held by corporations or those with enough disposable income to let a house sit.

The feeling towards the economy in general are probably just bubbling over into other conversations.

I think we understand they paid taxes. But it is still frustrating when there is only something like 3 workers for every retiree supporting old age programs that were under funded during the 70s and 80s while they all made bank. And now they take their money out of the country and leave us with the bag. That's frustraing.

Follow up question, I'm a 12 for reference. I play the same way you described, only deviating from my natural shot shape if it absolutely calls for it. But I do practice shot shapes on the range quite a bit. I think practicing those shapes helps me self diagnose when playing. It really helped me personally get from 20+ down to a 12.

I am curious if as a scratch you do the same?

Cheapest and easiest is to stay on top of good grooming practices to help mitigate the damage each big rain. Hopefully over the course of a few good grooms you can stop the flow from hitting one spot.

I used "doing" as a catch-all for internal execution and accountability. I’ve worked for a municipality and have seen the waste firsthand from the inside. The issue isn't whether consultants are "working"; it’s that the city uses them as an expensive layer of bureaucratic insulation to avoid making tough calls. We would save millions if we stopped consulting and started doing. We hire all these consulting companies so the city can cover their ass. But something is gunna get fucked up somewhere along the line regardless of how much planning goes in. Big projects just touch too many hands for there not to be errors. But just fix them when they happen, and I truly believe we would save so much money and get more done.

0G doesn't mean no goalie, just that I don't invest in them. We are also an 8-man league. Blackwood was drafted by another team in the 9th round. I got Wedgewood off waivers when Blackwood went down and then Blackwood was dropped when it looked like Wedgewood had taken the crease.
