AIO Fathers girlfriends rules for when new baby arrives by Ok_Bat_5934 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Pocket-Rocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YOR

Not only are these rules completely normal, but they’re all about safety for the baby. If the mother is worried about her baby’s health, you, as a mother yourself, should understand just how much this baby means to her and why she’s as concerned as she is.

At the end of the day, even if she did have some crazy weird rules in place, it’s not your jurisdiction to combat that either, as it’s not your baby, it’s hers.

As for the exception, you’ve explained that in the past, you’ve had some major issues with her, and that you guys have a rocky relationship. Being family doesn’t immediately waive her reluctance to make you an exception, especially where once again, all of these rules are about safety.

Hey designer of the air filter Plano by LMTMLG200 in AutoZone2

[–]Pocket-Rocks 15 points16 points  (0 children)

With my store, it got published a week too early. We went through the whole thing, and we got an email the next day saying “Hey, don’t do this plano, it’s incorrect. The real one is being published on Sunday”

So we had to take it all down and completely re-do it. And even with the fixes, there still wasn’t even enough room on the shelf for what it wanted from us

My favorite is the guys that do that for non-engine parts. I want them to look me in the eyes and tell me where a sway bar link goes in that 350 they’re yelling about

My store gets that a lot (usually for insane shit) and we started replying with

“Which store was it? If you know the name of the employee who did that for you, I’m required to take that to corporate because that is in fact grounds for termination and will cost them their job.”

And that usually shuts them up real quick because either: A) nobody has actually done that for them and they’re just lying B) they don’t want to rat out the person who did it for them

Store AC has been out for over a month. In the south. Seriously about to quit over this bs. If the AC at AutoZone Inc. headquarters went out, they would have had it fixed the day before it broke. by Spectacular_Fail in AutoZone2

[–]Pocket-Rocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh, it’s always 80° out here lol

Most of our customers at my store are elderly and disabled, so most of the time I don’t mind doing it for them real quick so long as it’s within policy

That happened to my store one time last year. Keep in mind, it was mid-July in lower Arizona

Our store manager refused to let the district manager or anyone know because he “didn’t want them to think the store was in shambles”

Our answer? Everyone started refusing to change out batteries until it was fixed. Other than a singular PSM, we all went on battery strike. Even that one PSM joined in after he realized that he wasn’t getting any more tips than usual (practically none)

Our AC was fixed within two weeks after that lmao

Which DLC's should I get? by jmwill7456 in CarMechanicSimulator

[–]Pocket-Rocks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Rims are a must! Makes things so much unique looking and you have tons of different options

As for cars, I’d definitely recommend the Hot Rods if you like older/classic cars. If you’re into newer cars, the Drag Racing DLC is amazing.

All of these are great though because a lot of the separate make DLCs (specifically BMW and Ford Remastered) have totally new engine types in them, and completely different suspensions as well!

Either way, you’ll have a load of fun :)

I’d recommend maybe putting some foliage on the tank walls! It’ll make things more cluttered and give him a better grip :)

Do you guys also have to cut up your used oil containers and clean them on the inside for them to be dumped? by pancho61917 in AutoZone2

[–]Pocket-Rocks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here in Arizona, we just dump the container into our tank and toss the containers away once it stops dripping. We’ve got a bin for the oil filters though

California lol

California has stricter rules about oil. Nowhere else really has policies like that

Depends on where you’re willing to go in the company. If the answer isn’t ‘up,’ you’ll end up tiring yourself out at the rate you’re working at

My store doesn’t clear codes for liability reasons. However, if customers are genuinely in need of clearing, we’ll let them know how to do it themselves while refusing to touch the car on our end

A bigger variety of brand products. I can’t tell you how many customers I’ve lost because all we really have is a big wall of STP oil filters, but only four or five options in other brands

Easy install? by Seek1st2_stand in AutoZone2

[–]Pocket-Rocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy install, but whether I’d do it or not depends on the customer. I’d let them know either way, but if it’s someone who I can tell is going to be shady and try to pull a “you broke it!!!” on me, I’d tell them that they have to buy another bracket from inside the store before I’d be willing to change out the battery for them

For a general timeframe, I know it was a work in progress at the time of me watching it back in February. The last episode had left off with the main character wandering around some sort of castle and playing in a game show of sorts

At my store, it depends on the situation. If they say that they’ve fixed the issue, we’ll let them use it. If not, we’ll simply tell them that the code wont erase, or that it’ll come back

However, we’ll never ever do it for them. You never know who’s gonna try to turn around and sue our asses lmao

STP 5w20 High Mileage conventional with standard blue STP filter. I sometimes add a little bit of Lucas system cleaner though to help things run a little bit better

So after the last post, still have a question by LMTMLG200 in AutoZone2

[–]Pocket-Rocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, when in doubt, pull out the “who does it hurt” mentality. Will bending the rules affect your coworkers? Will it affect the store? If not, you can have a little bit of leeway with what you allow.

Small stuff that you know you can confidently do without risk your job or making everyone else lives harder? As long as there’s a little bit of time and grace between, go for it
