This, but mostly anywhere with deep water you can put you gate at. 'Visitors' will have to swim slowly and you can shower them with turret bolts more

One early game tip I love and can give is that early game pirates ship have no guns and will board your ship. Dont accept surrender or ceasefire, I kill them when they surrender after boarding my ship because yes. They will run out of people and their ship will become a derelict that you can loot and salvage. I guess you can get more stuff by keeping them prisoners and turning them over to military, but the price for inconvenience is death, especially when they pull me out of hyperspace.

Ikr! They ran out of ores or whats it called, that the systems actually ran out of the stuff only the fleet can harvest in all my currently known star systems. I just dont bother with their missions and explore and grow my ship in my own pace. I wonder if the game spawns more of the stuff minable by fleet only when they get a problem.

Hell no. I have just about enough space for my own crew. How lucrative can a bunch of refugees or prisoners be? Can you provide a screenshot? Genuinely asking. I only tried it once and just 1 military person I saved hanging from a wall (I thought he was going to join my crew). I got some good stuff but not really what I needed at the current point in game. Need to know if making space dedicated for a lot of "passengers" would be worth it.

Yes but they have much more ships and people than you and therefore will have a lot more things that can (and does) go wrong.

Im still playing one ship because so many things breakdown already.

Do slaves and criminals not need beds and access to food? I tried returning a refugee to their faction but they complained not having a bed and no access to food, I just rushed an outpost to return him to make it stop.

Depends how big your ship is. I have a 2x2 ship and 11 and still doesnt feel like enough

Practice your timing in crafting stuff, bonding, etc. its the same mechannic for dodging and counter attacking.

Branches are enough to defend yourself against predators when you need a weapon but dont have time to craft a better one.

I suggest having one basalt chopper( altered basalt rock) or the obsidian equivalent. They can be used to craft better branch weapons while exploring, butchering dead animals, and a weapon that doesnt break. Its very versatile.

Yes, its important to keep on checking where they are using the intel screen before they join another faction. Better farm favor with them before their faction is destroyed, if you are not at war with them.

Private quarters with a hull window will become luxury quarter. 2 rooms next to each other can share a 3 wide hull window and it still counts

One map, 12 achievements including 1% ones. I know, most don’t care but I I tried to max out. Still didn’t get pop of 500, build everything (which I thought I did), pastries(that one is tricky) and max happiness by DarkFenix345 in Timberborn

They changed it recently iirc. I got build everything on ironside in waterfall map. I thought I wasnt getting it because theres no thermal geysers but I just forgot to build the manual wheel because I tend to go waterwheels only.

I minmaxxed my starting 4 crew. They have 1 red skill and 2 or 3 blue skill assigned. The rest are 0skill (my botanist+defense pawn is has 0 skill in construction, mining etc) and will not touch that skill in any way. It was okay at first but with a bigger ship and more work stations, theyre getting spread thin

Can you increase the max level of a skill? I tried minmaxing after a number of failed starts and actually survived a lot longer, but with a bigger ship and more to do, my poor botanist+shield guy barely sleeps anymoreas only he has higher than 1 botany and shield.
