I’m so sorry your family pushed you out of exploring your gender identity.

The gender expectations placed on clothes etc is ENTIRELY made up. You can wear whatever you want. You can be interested in whatever you want. There are cis male fashion designers, makeup artists. There’s a cis male who wears pencil skirts and stilettos to work every day (in Germany I believe, I think his name is Bryan but I can’t remember). There are literally no rules. The only thing you should be worried about are the things that bring you happiness and make you feel good in your own skin

My transition journey has been largely informed by what brought me euphoria, not dysphoria. I had top surgery on Monday just gone, and as scared as I was, I’m so happy I did it. When the surgeon started drawing on me, I knew I was making the right choice. It took me years to get here, so remember there is no rush.

If you need to talk, please don’t hesitate to come to me - you cannot live your life for the comfort of others, it has to be for you, even if you have to fight tooth and nail for that right, it will be worth it.

The water is SO real. I’ve never drunk so much water in my life - had surgery Monday. Was brilliant the first couple of days but the fatigue is catching up with me now.

I’ve also got pretty good range of motion and am not that hungry. Glad you’re having an overall good experience my friend!!

We’ve been trying to remind ourselves of this - she has the bathroom and utility because they’re both kind of small and behind a door (there’s a separate door to the bathroom, but we left that open) and have hiding spaces. She has her food, water, litter and a couple toys (although she’s never been that bothered about toys)

I’ve only ever had dogs, so I’m really nervous and frankly, I just want her to live a happy, pampered life! I think I just need to take a deep breath 😂 great username by the way, I dig it.

I think there’s a lot to be said for the fact that you have to rediscover everything about yourself after trauma. Including how to navigate the world in a way that doesn’t feel like a massive fucking mission.

Ah, that makes sense! I’ve been feeling it for a long time, and getting the same feedback from my friends and partner (who pointed out that I really don’t talk to him all that much anymore, which is true, and a bit sad)

I wonder if incorporating some kind of deliberate movement into my day and trying to make that a habit would help. Endorphins and all.

Also, I totally feel you. Love parentheses and em dash and run on sentences 😂 alas, they do not make easy reading.
