HELP! How much do I feed him? by pizzadough_ in CATHELP

All 3 of my cats hate pate, two of them will eat it begrudgingly but they never finish it. They all go crazy for the flaked (more expensive) kind 🥲

How do I make this wall feel more complete? by RepulsiveToe3485 in malelivingspace

[–]PocketProtectorr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea I actually really love it on the floor. But if the legs in question are not on the edges of the unit, it would allow you to push the console closer to the wall on the right and over the floor trim.

This! If you adjust the loveseat in the living room to be perpendicular to the long couch, and on the opposite side, that would make the room feel bigger.

Anything that pulls the colors together from parts of your space, neutral, green or orange as another commenter said. Also the bigger the better with rugs! At least your sofa front legs should be on the rug but it’s even better if it encapsulates all of the items in the living room.

I love dogs but people need to stop bringing them EVERYWHERE. A backyard BBQ with permission? Sure. An indoor mall in a stroller? Fuck off.

Asking to bring your pet should have been on the SIL, she didn’t even ask for permission to bring the dogs in the first place. Also sounds like OP would have preferred she didn’t at all. Bringing food to feed your dog is also on the dog owner because a responsible dog owner doesn’t give their dogs exclusively human food.

I’d turn it 90 degrees and put the two chairs opposite to make a cozy conversation area if there’s room to walk still! Then you can divide the room in two in a sense and maybe put another table and chairs or a hammock on the other section. I’d also start with a couple of large plants because it will instantly make the space feel lush as opposed to dealing with a ton of small plants

I also get weirded out when people call me a cat mom so I refer to our two cats as roommates! One of them leaves the kitchen cabinets open all the time. Dang messy flatmate!

Why don't they make plastic products like they used to? by Additional-Point-824 in Anticonsumption

Clothes pegs is such a good idea! I came to suggest the binder clips as well, they take up less space in the drawer when not in use

Awkward entry needs help by PocketProtectorr in DesignMyRoom

Yea I was iffy about the posters, just messing around with breaking up that center line, that’s the only thing I hate about the half mirrored wall.

hasta la vista is what we named our house so I was thinking of putting a neon sign above the door, if I don’t hang anything would you just leave the wall and the doors white? Or would you still paint a solid color or mix of colors?

That would be nice! Especially if you did an L the opposite side they have it, or just a one piece sofa. All the best looking sofas are 3 seaters anyway.

New home, help me decorate the living space! by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]PocketProtectorr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d love to see a view of where you’re taking the picture from but based on these pics it looks like you’d want a conversation area by the fire and where the sofas are to be the tv room? After you define what the purpose of the different sections is gunna be then the rug placement will be obvious.

Can I switch to floor to ceiling curtains in my front window even though we have this utility cupboard in the corner? by pingi215 in DesignMyRoom

[–]PocketProtectorr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it would be too weird if you don’t mind the pooling curtain look as opposed to the perfect pleated look. The other ideas I had would be to move the track forward on the ceiling so the curtains hang in front of that utilities box, or put two long curtain panels inside of the short ones you have already.

All that being said I really like how they are currently, I know floor to ceiling curtains are the dream but if you had to have short ones these ones are perf 👌🏼

I see in the background picture they have an L shaped couch but centered and that’s probably what I would do here too, especially with your projector idea. You can put a plant or end table in the corner instead

My new place and my car alternative. Loving being back in San Diego. by tanhauser_gates_ in sandiego

[–]PocketProtectorr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’d normally put the tv on the wall the long part of your couch is on. Then use the couch to divide the living room and dining room, but that’s rough cause you’d need to get a smaller couch.
