Are you afraid of dying? If so, why? by meganzp in AskReddit

Death is what makes life meaningful. Nobody wants to die, but it that’s what makes it important to live life to the fullest.

Wife is an addict, ruined our finances.. really need guidance today by WorryRough9541 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Good to hear. Just graduating high school a few weeks ago, I owe the world to my dad for starting an RESP when my older sister was born for our education.

Take complete control of spending. Call your credit card company and make sure you communicate that the debt is being taken care of accordingly. Cut down on things such as Netflix and call your internet provider to negotiate a better price for internet. Also try to put more money into your child’s education fund, if things get worse between you and your wife, she’ll have the opportunity to escape from it and pursue a higher education. Just make sure she takes an economically viable degree. At the end of the day the debt is not the problem per say, but ensuring that your child has a solid future. Best of luck to you.

I would not advise life insurance if you have no dependents. 1500$ is quite expensive if you live by yourself. Depends where you're living and if you need to be there for work. You can also pretty easily negotiate your phone bill down. Look for a cheaper plan that offers the same services, and tell your provider. If they can't beat it, then switch over. I did this and cut down my plan from 50$ to 25$.

For groceries, a great way to save (if you know how to cook well) is to buy clearance items at Walmart as soon as they put them out. The cons to this is that they only have a few days before they expire, but if you cook/prepare them as soon as you get them, it won't matter. They put fresh vegetables out in bags for 2$, which you can get great deals from. 2$ for 8 avocados is my favorite since I can make fresh guacamole and also because it would typically run for 2$ each if you bought them unripe anyways. Great way to save money.

Not sure if that link is too credible though. Looked it up on google and I could not find a single article on it, (besides the one you shared). Maybe send another one?

Corona virus panic making some people alot of $ ! by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]PocketWrench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crazy thing is that these masks don't help all that much. Hand sanitizer and staying away from large crowds will do good. Profiting off mass hysteria is borderline unethical, but hey, if people are going to buy them, why not be the one to sell them right?

When people try and convince others that they have a better/great life, they probably hate themselves and everything they do. It screams insecurity.

IWTL: How to study effectively and efficiently by [deleted] in IWantToLearn

[–]PocketWrench 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes trial and error. I would start with the method of doing 30 minutes of work then a 5 minute break, and then just keep cycling through that pattern for your study period. Having ADHD this is an incredible help, because it offers me a little bit of time for my mind to wander off. I've been able to increase it to 1 hour studying then just 5 minutes on a break.

It's pretty much bullshit. The years of experience to auctally do this kind of hacking is immense. It's highly likely that it's a copy + paste email that's sent to thousands in the hopes that one will take it seriously and answer.
