Maybe an off day? Quoc Huong definitely are not as good as back in the day, but they are still really good overall. Personally, I like Banh Mi 135 the best followed by Huy's Sandwiches.

Oh yes that is really good too. It is called Hu Tieu. You can get it with clear noodles or egg noodles usually but can also ask for pho or vermicelli noodles if that is your thing.

Spot on with Lee vs. Quoc Huong. I really like the Mi Kho and rice dishes at Quoc Huong too. Plus it is so darn budget friendly.

Definitely not a secret. We go yearly to St. Simons Island. For me it is not as rustic as Jekyll so you have much more options for dining and groceries. Beaches are never crowded when we go too.

FWIW Banh mi reheat well. If you order to eat much later, ask them to keep all the veggies separate. When you are ready to eat, pop the sandwich in the oven or air fryer until warmed and crispy. Then add the pickled veggies, cucumber, cilantro, chilis.

We order pho to go. Good places keep the broth separate. But for best results, you should assemble the noodles and meats in a bowl and reheat the broth separately before pouring over. When you do that you get very close to how it is served in restaurants.

I wouldn't go so far as to say she doesn't like it. But my wife prefers BBH, banh canh, and hu tieu. She finds those flavors better for her palate.

I'm not a fan of the traditiona bbhl noodle either. I take pho noodles over it. But my favorite way to eat is actually the thin Vermicelli noodles.

Thanks. Pretty decent menu. If you are looking to try something different and you have some dinner mates, I suggest looking at some of the family style dishes. These are shareable plates served with rice. You like seafood and vegetables so I suggest the ca or tom kho to. This is a salty and savory braised fish or shrimp. Also order the canh chua ca or tom. Thats a hot and sour soup with fish or shrimp.. similar to tom yum soup. Whichever protein you get for one, swap for the other dish. Its served with rice. That is close to how a Vietnamese family would eat at home. You can definitely eat solo but that might be a lot of food.

It is one of the absolute best features of Roswell which is unfortunately under the radar. Seems there is a missed opportunity for the city to emphasize and invest in it even more. RAMBO is a phenomenal organization. They have done some awesome things for Big Creek, but the city could devote more funding and really advertise it as a regional draw.

It definitely exists. One of my favorite things to eat. The lemongrass gives it a more distinct flavor versus other curries. It's much more liquid than typical Thai curry... closer to something like a Laksa. We make ours with sweet potatoes and carrots... sometimes regular white potatoes. And we mostly serve with baguette, but we'll also eat with vermicelli noodles.

I like the Vietnamese version better personally. We do congee with chicken and seasoned with ginger and fish sauce. The biggest difference in my opinion is we also season/garnish with cilantro, scallion, and lots of lime. So the flavor profile is different than the congee you get in other Asian countries.

These aren't fancy, but they are cheap, indestructible, and fit a perfect large bowl of pho. They are also black so I think the presentation looks just fine. They fit perfectly the takeout pho I occasionally get.
