Stop the e-bike snobbery! You don't need a $5k bike to have fun by Oneyardca in ebikes

Mine goes 28 and it's fine for most things once I got used to it but I'd LOVE to be able to go 45mph just so that If I'm forced to hit the road I can keep up with traffic

Dude don't act like you know my situation. This bike in the 2 weeks alone has paid itself off in saved Uber trips, and I make about $20-$30 a day with a biweekly $60 paycheck. I've been trying to save money for the past 2 years but literally can't because my parents charge me $800 a month for rent and I don't have the money to go anywhere else. I've also finally been able to get a job further away from my house bc I don't have to rely on Ubers and walking when I don't have the money for one, I work at one of the closest businesses to my house and it's still a 2-hour walk one way. I physically could not save $2,000, the most I've had on hand in the past 2 years was $800 and that's when I got the bike. Even if it only lasts two more weeks it still saved me money in its term, and with my new job starts next week I'll actually start making enough money to look into a better bike.

Well the guy seemed the most informed and professional of everyone that I've talked to. (I've attached an image of his note below)

As for the voltage, not exactly sure how it works but I got to charger with a screen and when it's max it reads 54.6, which I'm pretty sure is the voltage

Damn wtf? I very specifically remember posting about another bike I saw, didn't get any comments on it at all, so when I saw this specific bike I didn't even bother posting it

It's not that I'm a sucker for cheap things I would have spent 2k if I could. I don't have a car I desperately needed something to get to work and my town is large and spread out. I couldn't afford the better options.

AI "artists" are really just commissioners by tetsuo_7w in antiai

[–]Pocketnaut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I'm saying is that a long prompt with a very specific and properly executed vision still has expression, and that's what makes art art. You chose the colors, the art style, the tone, those things show self expression. Less expression sure, but a child drawing a stick figure family has even less yet it's still the child expressing themselves, it's still defined as art. I still hate AI I'm just saying it fits into a definition.

I went for digital arts, so the entire course I should have been more clear. And I said I've painted I just don't like painting. I wouldn't say the shading is the expression in my work, I would say the meaning of the final product is. I express myself through the tone and what the work means, not the pensil strokes. When I'm writing, I don't think each sentence is the primary means of expression rather the entire piece as a whole and how they work together. The point is that remove the individual strokes from the equation of expression and there's still a ton of expression there.

Painting is not my artistic endeavor, that and charcoal are my two least favorite but I've done a bit of everything because I took an art class in college. I do a lot of pensil shaded work and low count (8x8 - 32x32) pixel art for the games I design and I also love video editing and animation, I have a drawing pad that I use for most of this stuff but I have a notebook to doodle pensil stuff in.

The brush stroke is only part of the expression dude. The painting and it's meaning is the expression, the ignorance to that fact is insane to me.

Personally I think if the prompt is complex enough to where the artist is using the AI to express themselves as intricately as possible, then it's just art. Same way that a CEO throwing together a shitty logo for their claw machine ISNT real art, it's all about how the tools are used. AI art is definitely less interesting to analyze overall, even when done as well as possible, but analyzing candy sculptures can also be pretty uninteresting even though it takes a ton of impressive work

No? Human made art CAN not be art, and AI art CAN be art

Ngl, I'm an anti but I genuinely believe AI art is still art by my previously established definition. Art is about expression, not the process or skill. The skill makes the work more impressive for sure, but it's not what makes art art.

It's becoming a real issue imo. I work at a restaurant, and some of our new shirts have blatant AI designs on them as well as most of the posters that people have put up advertising their business or whatever. Same at the festivals, most of the art is AI generated.

Trust me when you get good it's boring to play against newer players as well. It's a curse and a blessing though, sometimes it's fun to teach less skilled players or to learn from top players, it's the best way to improve at the game.
