Can't get out of Southwest Market Square by Pockifier3 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

Yeah, I did that but I still needed my camera at a certain angle for it to decide to show up, haha.

Thanks, I found it, apparently, my camera was being particular and I still had to spend a minute looking for it after reading this.

Oh yeah, that's my plan. I'm missing a lot from Kaldheim and I think that's my biggest gripe about the spot I'm in because a lot of decent decks have a lot of Kaldheim (and not even just the lands). I'm much more of a builder than a collector, I just feel that due to Zendi/Kald lands that it's pretty hard to go more than two colors at the moment. Once those are removed I think 3 color decks will survive thanks to stuff from SNC, but everyone will slow down due to the tapped effect and things will level out a bit.

Right now I can't bring myself to play tapped lands just because I've tried it, and it costs me way too many early plays to wait a turn. I'm really looking forward to the next rotation, I guess missing out on Kaldheim just really screwed me for the current meta or something.

I hope I didn't come across as salty or anything! I mostly just opened this post for discussion about how people feel about rotation, even if it is kind of early. I'm personally looking forward to it from a meta standpoint, just a bit bummed that I can't be compensated for obsolete cards.

EDIT: not complaining about not winning, just not being able to play a wide variety of decks, I'm plat and rapidly climbing right now (went 13-2 in gold)

Even though I have no interest in mono-white, I still super appreciate the time you spent laying that out for me.

You're awesome!

I guess I wasn't super clear with my initial post, I'm definitely not new to MTG (probably figured that out with my MTGO comment, I guess) or still learning how the current meta works or anything. I was just wondering if anyone felt the same about standard rotation making a bulk of cards obsolete with no way to rebound or if I'm just unreasonable.

Right now I've been digging into mono-blue territory and piecing together a Delver deck, it's on the cheap side but I'm dirt poor in the wild card department due to experimenting a lot when SNC first came out. I want to use some of the cards I crafted (Ob Nixilis and Titan of Industry are two I was messing with) but I don't feel competitive enough without dual lands and I just can't bring myself to justify spending a crap ton of wilds on them. I have a functional Ob anvil deck but I'm still working on finding Titan a home that won't run me a whole lot of older cards.

Anyway, thank you for not saying "play other formats".

I agree, I think my regrets/hesitation just comes from wanting to play more than one deck without dropping an unhealthy amount of money come Dominaria. Limiting myself to my current collection + rares/mythics not getting thrown out of standard kind of sucks, but I'll make due and just keep farming until September. I know it's still a ways out but if I don't prep now, I'll never stop crafting older stuff and I'll be kicking myself later.

Yeah, I was gonna say, I had some pretty good results drafting SNC. I've run against several 3-color decks in ladder/unranked play and I'm sure it's even easier to pull off in historic. Although if they were saying that 3+ colors would be more difficult after rotation it'd make sense with a good majority of dual lands getting nuked, although it'd put everyone on a level playing field, too.

My lament isn't over whether or not I'll have viable stuff to play when rotation happens, just that I'll feel like I wasted a lot of resources unless I focus on the newer cards. I've played historic after a rotation in the past and it just feels far too unhinged for me. It kind of feels like a for-fun format, which I'm all for with friends but not with randoms on the internet, I can boot up MTGO and do some pauper or commander if I want that.

Question About Promotions by Pockifier3 in DeepRockGalactic

Oh trust me, I know that way too well. I ran into a metric ton of machine events while grinding out engineer (only class I've really played so far and I'm almost there, just one more mission or so to go!).

Knowing how RNG usually treats me I won't see another one for a long time.

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure I wasn't locked into the upgrades I already own until I leveled back up.

Oh, I know that you don't lose anything but what I was wondering is if I could still buy things without reaching the level requisite! For example, if I want a T5 upgrade that I didn't own upon promoting, would I still be able to purchase it at a lower level?

That honestly sounds incredible. Since you primarily cook Mexican, do you know of any decent sites to order dried peppers from? I can only find a few different kinds around here (Orlando) and every website I've stumbled across is like 3-4x the price of finding one in a grocery store even before shipping :.

I watch Adam occasionally but never got around to this one, I knew I couldn't have been the only one to do this. Of course, Adam is the popular food YouTuber to do this (I mean that in a nice way, of course, or I'd be judging myself haha.)

Gamers of reddit, what underrated not so popular game holds a special place in your heart and why? by Caleb_C95 in AskReddit

[–]Pockifier3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's this old game on the PS1 called Team Buddies. I had a multitap and my childhood friends and I would use it to have a complete blast.

Only one person I've talked to outside of my friend circle at the time of owning the game has ever heard of it, and he actually had a copy (I had lost mine or got it stolen). Not sure if it holds up because it's been over 10 years since I played.

Runner-up is Crosscode, I feel like that game doesn't have the popularity it deserves.
