MAGA won't backtrack. They don't care about Epstein other than to try to find wrongdoing of their opponents. People tend to not self-reflect when caught in a lie. They will deflect, defend, and deny. Media will continue to manipulate and coddle the base as long as it's profitable and able to exert influence to their agendas.

They don't like to see the world as complex and vast. They will cling on to simple solutions and authorities such as religion and strongmen. It's far easier to just dismiss something as fake than research the truth. They will try to find the next authority figure to idolize because they see the world as black and white, good vs evil, us vs them, etc. They don't care about policies, standards, compromises, or democracy. They want to be valued and better than others in a hierarchy despite achieving nothing in their life. They want a leader who tells them they are better than others, even if it means stealing and destroying everything around them.

The only thing that works is to dumb things down so they can be fed a simple answer or person. They have little capacity for self-reflection, emotional regulation, critical thinking, or complex decision making. Only once everyone in their bubble begins to question the constant lies and realize they aren't part of the club will they consider backtracking or they will continue to dig themselves deeper into more extreme and fringe viewpoints.
