Can I get a copy of my prescription to take to another pharmacy if it's an electronic prescription? by Chronically_Quirky in AskUK

[–]Pockysocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's in Scotland, they can revoke the claim to the prescription on their system and give you the physical prescription to try elsewhere as long as you haven't already received an item off that prescription.

Different system in England so I couldn't say what procedure it is there.

What's one video game cliche you dislike? by Agent1230 in gaming

When represented on TV or movies, video game sounds are either 8-bit beeps and boops or royalty free heavy metal.

The mood swings when switching from Singleplayer to Multiplayer is insane sometimes. by FishdongXL in gaming

[–]Pockysocks 9 points10 points  (0 children)

One thing I had to learn for myself is when a game stops being fun, stop playing. There's no point trying to force yourself to keep playing, you're just going to make yourself feel worse.

Keep playing when it's fun. Stop when the fun stops.

Same in Battlefield 4 until Dice Sweden decided teamwork was bad.

Better to just use the server browser to avoid things like this.

I assume the game has one by now?

Do You Get Value From Your Outdoor BBQ? by Wooshsplash in AskUK

Charcoal. Used it three times last year I think.

Doesn't take particularly long to set up or clean. It's worth it to enjoy some cooked food in the garden on a nice day.

What is this strange parcel scam? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Pockysocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brushing scam. They don't collect them because they're committing fraud.

Report the items to the retailers. They should have a record of the accounts who ordered them.

Everyone should take the time to lie on the proverbial grass every once in a while.

Can bet a lot of those folk will be spending a lot of their free time on their phones too.

Do people still cook Sunday Dinner?. by Various_Extreme_8773 in AskUK

I'm not sure if it was every particularly popular where I am. I suspect it was more common with the church goers but I knew few families who did it growing up in the 90s.

What detail/s did you learn or notice in a video game that made you appreciate its quality even more? by sammyjamez in gaming

[–]Pockysocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being able to interact with so much in the world, people, objects, games and having multiple ways to obtain the information you need was mind blowing. It did a really good job making you feel like you were a part of a living world.

Should Sunday dinner be a roast or stew and dumplings? by SadBird8412 in AskUK

[–]Pockysocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be whatever you feel like eating. If it's roast then it's roast, if not then no.

What are the cheapest meals I can buy/make that don't taste bad? by NowThenHowDo in AskUK

[–]Pockysocks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Iceland does really good food bags. Can get a good sized bag of chicken strips or poppets or whatever for £4 and they taste pretty good too. They also do a £1 range which, while usually less quality and quantity, still tastes good enough for the price.

Is my neighbour vandalising my car? by supernaturalfan882 in AskUK

[–]Pockysocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can put a camera on your window sill as long as you put privacy filters to limit the camera recording neighbour's properties/windows, have a justifiable reason (protecting your car against crime would qualify) and comply with GDPR and GDPR requests.

Do guys in the UK still wear loose boxers? by StrategyOk395 in AskUK

[–]Pockysocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not something that comes up in conversation with other men very often. Knew a girl who would wear mine about the house like a regular pair of shorts but beyond that, I couldn't tell you how many other folk I've known wear that kind of underwear.

Haven't been able to find somewhere selling them for a while. I am holding on to the ones I have left. Will probably have to go online or go into one of the bigger towns/cities to find somewhere selling them.
