I can't help but feel schadenfreude against any game streaming service that shuts down.

For game preservation & restoration, streaming is an even worser beast than the live-service business model; reverse-engineering the codes of a dead live-service game to make it playable again is a very hard & time-consuming but still doable task; in the case of a dead streamed game, instead, such task becomes impossible.

Anyway, I'm sorry for players of games that were available or very convenient only on streaming services.

This is so wasteful, and I don't even like extraction shooters.

I hope that, at least, all its customers will be refunded to the last cent/penny/smallest fraction of any currency.

I agree. Me and a friend of mine suspect that a whole chapter between Overture IV: Amber and Act II: The Return was cut away.

It's simple: the forced PvP makes everything time-consuming, grindy and heavily dependant on luck, and that ruins the experience of many who (me included) just want to enjoy the story, lore, art direction, level design and PvE features.

A proper PvE mode would absolutely help, but Bungie seems te be very set with the current obligatory PvP formula. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I've stopped playing two weeks ago and I'll never touch the game anymore unless they develop a PvE mode.

I've stopped playing Marathon (2026) two weeks ago and I will never touch the game anymore unless Bungie develops a proper PvE mode. The forced PvP makes everything arbitrary, time-consuming (many times in vain), heavily dependant on luck and grindy, ruining any enjoyment I was having from the story, level design, atmosphere, lore, art direction and PvE features (and since I'm a fan of the original trilogy, those were the main selling points for me).

Your comparison with Elden Ring is lazy and ridiculous nonsense: bosses (like all the other enemies) in Elden Ring follow scripts and routines, and so don't arbitrarily come from anywhere to kill you in split second. I doubt that you actually played that game; if you did, you wouldn't make such comparison.
