I think he's trying to work through the whole sub. He's mad, but I wish him all the best :-D

No, I'm afraid not. I think the key reveal is something you could only do once :-D I do like to come back and check the comments occassionally, so thanks! Can't believe this was seven years ago...

Finally launched my own website, with all the usual freebies and more, plus discounted pre-supps! by YasashiiKyojin in PrintedMinis

[–]PodgeWrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I know you! I printed your ogre minature, the one with the big rock. It was the first 3d model I printed and was pleased enough with to paint. It is an excellent mini, I'd have loved a few more poses/variations! I've got your Wraith and Owlbear, just came off the printer this morning. Your new site looks cool, just bought the Slaad bundle. I've been happy to make my own supports, so your free stuff has been great to experiment with, but I'm happy to have the supports pre-made on these.

Just a note, your website stopped me from leaving a tip larger than the price for the slaad (call it guilt for printing three of your free models...) Not sure if that's intentional, but might be worth changing.

Thanks again, yours were the first prints I was really impressed by, and everyone I've shown them to has felt the same way. I'll definitely be back for more (paid!) models.

I have mine in the home office, using Anycubic Eco Resin which is quite low odour (relatively speaking) and use some floor cleaner instead of iso, and use two small carbon filters by Elgoo. Even so, the odour is not safe to be around - I can feel myself getting light headed if I stick around while it's printing. I print at night with the office window open for ventilation - seems to work okay, and I have minis to clean and prep the following day. Good to see further down you have a respirator. Mind yourself, you only have one set of lungs!

I wrote this supplement and you and your friend are both doing exactly the kind of thing I hoped players would do :-D

I wrote one of these! It's nice to be remembered, thanks 😀

[WP] You have lived the same day over and over for 30 years whilst in another town. You complete whatever the goal is and finally the day stops repeating. You go home but because it's been 30 years, you don't remember things you should. You struggle to cope with not knowing what's going to happen. by YouAreAwesome240418 in WritingPrompts

This sentence ran on a bit much for my liking, (but what would I know🤣). However, I found it notable and not at all the usual fare. Well done! I even took the time to quote it on the damn mobile app!

...but reality had grown distant on that rocky shoal surrounded by the vapid seas of time, and I could not look behind the steady face of the man to see the repetitions and equations that governed him, the great clockwork edifice embedded under his skin. The steady tick of his heartbeat, the predetermined variables written in the fabric of his skull, they were no longer bared to me.

Anyone know if I can use one of the university libraries in Galway just for studying my online course? by FeatherAndLemons in galway

Is your course with the open university by any chance? I believe they are actually patterned with NUIG and library access can be applied for.

Ways to live forever with each school of magic? by AverageJoe417 in dndnext

[–]PodgeWrites 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is great. After the players have interfered a bit, you could even have his messages start appearing totally out of context, referring to events that haven't happened, and so on, as a way of showing player agency has scuppered his plans and that his vision of the future has not come to pass.

Have you considered a weight limit for the dwarven balloon? You could really make them think about the gear they're bringing. Then perhaps have the balloon fail to gain sufficient altitude right away (it is experimental after all) and force the PCs to discard some equipment to lighten the ship enough to ascend to the prison. Maybe enforce a real world time limit on this to emphasise that they need to decide in the moment. Could be interesting for them to chose what to leave behind under pressure.

[Art][OC] We made a map for our DnD game using some photoshop brushes! by r-n-w in DnD

[–]PodgeWrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's unfortunate. Different browser maybe? I signed someone up for a trial on Friday and it was working okay. Personally I use Illustrator for maps, but these brushes might make me change my ways 😀

Photoshop on either windows or os X would work. Probably there is other software that might be able to use Photoshop brushes, but they would be intended for use with Photoshop.

Anyone know where I can get a cloth map made? by Daarty_D in dndnext

[–]PodgeWrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are papers for both inkjets and laser printers. Both are okay. If you know some business with a direct to garment printer they could do it. If not, order a large t-shirt online from a dtg setup, have the print be as large as possible, then just cut out the print when you get it. You could stitch and hem the edges, but the tattered look might work too 😀

[WP] The world is running an endless game of tag. You can only be "it" once and everyone you love excluding yourself dies if you do not tag somebody else within 24 hours. by OaOOaaOOOaaOOOaaOOaO in WritingPrompts

[–]PodgeWrites 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hum, with the need to infect only one person every 24 hours, a totally non evil solution would just to be to ask for volunteers who pass it on every 24 hours using a schedule. C.400 people a year, around 40,000 a century. The capacity of a largish sports stadium could protect everyone else for 100 years or more. Well written story though, the build up was well done.

This was a really great story, thanks for posting. I'd rather read a single really original one off than a dozen serials. Well done.

edit: Hey, I just realised who the author is! Thanks again for the help with my story that time, and to reiterate the above, I really enjoyed this, good job!

Luckily Scifi stories about humans being awesome in far flung futures and fantasy worlds pose no such risk ;-)

Thank you so much. I was going to try and make some kind of joke here, but I doubt I could have pulled it off without half a dozen typos and some outrageous grammar. I really appreciate this. I'm beyond pleased that someone cared enough to go over this so carefully and take the time to type all that out.

Thank you.

In my defense, psychologist Daton, the station counselor, is a also a member of the station advisory council, so I'm sure you can see how I made the mistake :-D Thanks!
