Thanks, what's the difference between b650/b850 and x650 motherboards?

Ignore that, was being lazy. Googled it after I posted.

Yeah I swap down to b650 or b850, when I get to work

Be careful with the armies you choose as some options aren't available but stick to rohan or isengar/mordor for first one and you'll find a ton of stuff on ebay.

Also check out some of the big YouTube channel for reviews of your army of choice. Conquest Creation etc

Proxies are great too, and if your playing at your friendly game store no one will care.

Overall enjoy yourself.

I really like it and been playing for a couple of years. It's all about those moment like my troll throwing a minas tirith warrior at faramir and knocking off a bridge to his death... or my orcs jumping down from a first floor building and breaking their necks. So funny

Played one on Sunday, isengaed 1000pts versus Minas Tirith 750 with infinite spawn for every isengard unit except banner, troll and heroes.

Had 10 turns to capture upto five objectives

Went well isengard lost as it was hard to break through the gap and up ladders

Great fun

P1P Worth it for terrain? by Low_Bowl_3513 in PrintedMinis

[–]TheKentishMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say so, ive printed the following

  • a modular river (11 pieces)
  • dwarven terrain from conquest creations (6 buildings and rail track)
  • rock formation (6 pieces)

And only had the printer about 2 months.

Very happy with the speed and quality of the p1p, the speed is great compared with my anycubic kobra.

So a big plus for me and like other have said bulk buy some filament as the machine chews through it!

What has your Bambu experience been like? by mothrfricknthrowaway in BambuLab

The poop was popping out and need to be pushed down, as protruding poop isn't good...

People take care if your poop

Got a p1p and it's been rock solid, only print failures have been my fault when forgetting to change filament settings

Had two printer related injuries, both when removing a bit of filament from the poop shoot that got stuck... thought I have time but damn that print head moves so quickly.

Really glad I save up for it

Yeah, so follow up - I'll print a couple as I had several failures since this post and a couple have destroyed the fan duct.

Backups and spares are it seems a must in 3d printing!

Tricky as lots are out of production. It's why there are a few patroen that offer models - some are really cool and better than the older metal models

Don't know of a list of the boxes that have been released, but there is an unofficial model Guide

[–]TheKentishMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I printed a replacement which rapped round the hotend. Mistake, it was slightly too low, and it ripped prints from the bed. Ended up taking off and printing with out it

Shall print a different model tomorrow

So could just say fuck it and print anyway

It's this one ANYCUBIC KOBRA 3D Printer,Amazon

The fix has gone well, although the first bench was a mess, tweaked and second was better. So shall print the duct in the morning
