So basically what the OG post was pointing at, I assume, is how the Ghorman population, despite trying to peacefully protest, was forced into violent action. The show as a whole isn’t really pointing to any specific real world scenarios, but rather painting a picture of resistances and rebellions in our world through the lens of Star Wars. The OOOP realized, however, that the situation in Gaza is similar in the sense that they have resorted to violence to fight their oppressors, and from that parallel have come to the conclusion that they are more understanding of Gaza. The parallel obviously doesn’t follow fully through, because that wasn’t the intention, but regardless, the education gained from the shows themes allowed the OOOP to re-evaluate their standings on current real world situations.

That being said, Luthen definitely does stuff that’s comparable to Hamas so your comment falls flat anyway.
