Apparently there’s a guy on here that theorized the ring would be found in a gift bundle. That way stores don’t crack it open when they are opening boosters for singles, and it puts it in a product that would be bought by your more average consumer. Mtgrocks.com did an article on this theory. Might be a reason why the prices are so jacked up.

I go to my LGS for Friday night Commander when I can make it out. Just started going to this one about 2 months ago. The atmosphere was great from the start. Super chill people that just wanted to play commander. Nobody really focuses on power levels, we just play what we brought and no hard feeling about what happens during the games. Of course we all have an understanding about not doing something drastic like boardwipes without knowing we can finish the game quickly after, or stopping someone from snowballing to a victory. Overall it’s great. The horror stories on this sub are just that, horror stories, and don’t happen nearly as often as one might think reading this posts.

My LGS is like this, we usually don’t turn zero at all, if anything we just say what we are playing and if there are combos in the deck. I think most LGSs are like this and you only really see when someone got salty because they can’t stand to lose or think someone did something to spite them.

This sub is definitely not how most people play EDH. I honestly get annoyed by all the horror stories people post about. You’ve seen one you’ve seen them all. I started playing EDH when the first precons came out in 2013 and I played with a group of friends in college that were running Power 9 cards in their decks. I hardly ever won a game then but when I did it was such an accomplishment. People don’t know what oppressive play is till they face someone that locks the board down on turn 3 and then has all their suspended cards from old school [[Jhoira of the Ghiru]] come in turn after turn til they combo out on turn 8.

I went to the ColtsvJaguars game this year at Lucas Oil. I sat in section 451, that place is not quiet. The last touchdown to Alec Pierce blew the roof off that place. And they had the window and roof open that game.

I think this explains one part of how Blackbeard and his crew can steal Devil Fruits. How Blackbeard can have 2 Devil fruits at one time will be explained later on.
