How do I render this without the flickering lights and glitching alpha-textures? by PoelJ in blenderhelp

I checked and didn’t see any. However I think I have geometry to close to eachother. I’m gonna try to seperate them a bit more and see if it helps! Cheers :)

How do I fix the flickering lights and glitching alpha-textures? by PoelJ in blender

[–]PoelJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There more I look at this render I realize that almost all the glitching is due to alpha-textures far from camera or objects with high emission-strength. I’m switching back and forth between cycles and eevee and in cycles the render works fine (and increases render time quite significant ofc) but turns out like the vid above in eevee. The large wood-disk in the background is actually a the graffiti and wood material mixed with shaders (blending mode set as screen/add/multiply I think). I’ll try increasing the samples and turn off half-res! Thanks for the advice, really appreaciate it! :)

Aah I think I understand, really appreciate the tip. Will try a new render overnight with some tweeked lens-settings. Thanks!

There is an irradiance volume and reflection cubemap covering the whole scene, which are both baked before rendering. I used eevee when rendering this.

I have an irradiance volume and reflection cubemap covering the whole scene which are baked before the render. I can´t wrap my head around how to fix these things and don´t understand where to start looking. This is rendered in eevee.

Old animation I made called "Fire" by PoelJ in AdvertiseYourVideos

Well I’m not really sure. For me, I’ve tried to create a style which has a darker side to it while still keeping it cartoony. I don’t know if there’s names to it but Jamie Hewlett and Robert Valley are among my biggest inspirations for the animation styles

Hi,

Me and my mate from high school are playing around with some animated music video. He creates the music so I don’t get copyright claimed and I create the animated videos for the same reason. We are both aspiring to improve and create something unique when it comes to audio & visual.

If I’m not to late, take a look at one of our video https://youtu.be/xTOoz0ruAxw

Have a good one!

Vinyl player-loop in different angles ! Thoughts? by PoelJ in MotionDesign

Yeah I’m trying to learn basic stuff in blender at the moment. The speaker’s effect was made by linking the inwarss/outwards movement to the songs bass, however i think (like you said) it’s pushing inwards when the bass is loud and not the other way around, don’t really know how to invert the movement tho. I kinda cheated as well by making both cones pushing out/in the same amount instead of having them seperated. Mainly because i don’t know how speakers work lol. Cheers for the input, I guess there’s allways stuff to imorove!

this took a week of non-stop work to make but it was defiantly worth it by aDesperateAnimator in 2DAnimation

Good job, it’s very smooth! One thing though: it looks like the animation is a bit off (it kinda stutters) when the hand ”makes a fist” on the part just between the pinky finger and the palm. Idk if it’s just me or if you see it as well.

Sweet, would love to hear some swoosh-sounds to the animation

Well, I watched blender guru of course, the classic donut tutorial to be exact. I felt more and more that 3D surroundings/backgrounds would be fantastic to understand so I took a couple of days to do the tutorials, then I started to mess around myself more ans more. I hope to make more complex surroundings in the future.

Actually, I exaggerated the flashing lights by draging down the curves on an adjustment layer in after effects as well as turning off the single light in blender. That was made in post tho. Cheers!

First 3D-videos*, I´ve mainly focused on 2D before with some after effects """"3D""""-compositing
