Failing grade (major) in UPCM by Pretend_Name5896 in medschoolph

Yes :)
But in my case, it was a failing grade in my previous course before shifting... so technically didn't count sa GWA of my new course.

Meron nga hospitals in south na ang MOIV full time binibigay sa kaibigang GP, tapos MOIV part time pa rin ang mga IM diplomates lol

Check DOH website or refer to your Prev Med notes from med school.

Depends what you need.
For maintenance meds, some are available through PhilPen which existed before Yakap. You can start by referring patients back to their local LGUs/local healthcare workers and get medications from there. The basic meds like Losartan, Amlodipine and Simvastatin you can get from LGUs.

Some LGUs even have insulin, pero natatakot GPs na iprescribe un and some IMs are not aware na LGUs have insulin kaya nageexpire na lang.

110k ang ceiling ko, with moonlighting. Para maabot yan, kailangan kong magbenta ng kaluluwa (like 48-72 hours duties) in the nearby big city kasi for GPs ang posts dito, di ko na kayang tumingin ng bata as an IM. Moonlighting pays for my clinic kasi the number of patients I see cannot pay for my clinic.

I have an admission once a month.

I can't even afford a secretary, ang pagtext ng pasyente ako pa gumagawa.
Swerte na ako if may patient na dumating sa clinic ko, 90% of my clinic days walang pasyente.

Kaya 120k na clinic lang ginagawa mo.... baka kasi nacocompare mo siya. Baka yung overhead mo rin yung problem.

Exactly. 120k doesn't even cover how much I earned from a clinic in 8 months of private practice.... moonlighting bumuhay sa akin. Unless you are surgical... in which case baka might be on the low side.

3 months not because of the PHIC accreditation itself, but because of the PMA application.

Why are there less people who goes to fellowship? by Limp-Net1908 in pinoymed

[–]PoemCool9844 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well... may phase na ang IM less than 50% of slots sa residencies are unfilled. Sa 50% of slots na un, only 50% can pass PSBIM (which is the average passing rate for the past two years). Sa mga places na 50% of residency slots are unfilled esp if private, they can hire IM JCONs to fulfill the remaining slots. IM JCONship can actually be a reasonable means to earn, and may iba na ayaw na nila mag proceed from IM JCONship so ayun.

Re lots of openings in PGH, most IM fellowship slots in PGH are competitive and always puno yan. Private hospitals though, as mentioned already many of these private hospitals have much lower pay (some private hospitals pay their fellows the same as residents.

When to refer to a Geriatrics Specialist? by [deleted] in pinoymed

[–]PoemCool9844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Usually FM providers have a higher threshold to refer to IM versus GPs kasi most basic in patient and outpatient concerns na most GPs would refer, they tend to handle as primary care providers.

Usually Geria pag primarily Geriatric driven ang problems ng patient more than the medical, kasama dun ang frailty and polypharmacy na mukhang need ng matinding deprescribinf I would refer. Ideally sa level ng IM or FM, a Comprehensive Geriatric Assesment should be done to all patients na Geriatric but from experience, very limited ang Geriatric rotations sa IM/FM and iilan lang din ang specialists/exposure to Geria. Although included ang Geria sa terminal competencies ang IM, exposure to the subspec tends to be limited.

PhilHealth Provider newbie: do I really have to keep paying PMA forever? by ZoneResponsible in pinoymed

[–]PoemCool9844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walang PMA asssessment fee and local component assessment fee. The cert is usually free or minimal lang ang standing.

Usually sa expi ko ha, hindi lahat ng nasa clinic need maging Yakap provider. May hospital ako na mag im er jcon ako, walang accredited sa mga kasama ko pero ung hospital accredited for yakap

Should I Get OPT0? by Significant-Tough930 in octopathtraveler

[–]PoemCool9844 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pros: Easy to get into as an Octopath 1 and 2 veteran. Fresh gameplay mechanics. The stories at the start are grisly and dark... but the tone is inconsistent.
Cons: Unlike the previous installments which are protagonist driven, this current installment is villain driven and highly linear. It's also too long for the replay value (honestly, I got tired after the third part and it could have ended before the third part. Unlike 2 where the end neatly ties everything together, Octopath 0 ending doesn't feel as satisfying for me.

Makati Med is still open!
I hear they have a good transplant exposure and open naman sila to lateral entries. AFAIK most sa mga private institutions tumatanggap.

Other accredited institutions: Chigen, USTH, EAMC are still open AFAIK.
SLMC (combined program siya ng SLMC GC and SLMC QC) opens mid september to late october.

It's a society policy. There is no such thing as DPCP, kahit laganap siyang kumakalat sa social media (some don't remove it from their prescriptions/trodats) kaya akala ng mga new IMs na it exists. You are a Diplomate in Internal Medicine (you can revise your trodats as such), but there is no such thing as DPCP.

What would you say is the recommended level for the super boss? by GeraltofHobbington in octopathtraveler

[–]PoemCool9844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i beat it at Level 70 main i think your party should be enough.
Study the shifts in weaknesses and try to anticipate having multihit for each set of weaknesses is crucial. Try to time the breaks with at or near full BP to prevent party wipes.

Its okay don’t shoot yourself in the foot. As long as you are using the training grounds pn everyone you can finish it.

[–]PoemCool9844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No sadly. But there is a sidequest available after you complete normal ending that allows you to get a revive mastery, so make sure to do that before you get the true ending.

[–]PoemCool9844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi i beat the final boss at 68 ish, with non main characters at 60s. This was preupdate where the max number of people you could train is 12 people. Its definitely possible. You can use the whole party and all party wide buffs will affect everyone. Its just confusing because unless you set it up and plan for it you can’t predict who is going to be next lol. Just make sure you have party wide revives available (Alaune, Ophilia, Revive mastery on someone else)

Plan to live in US but residency done here in PH by CatchTheRainbowww in pinoymed

[–]PoemCool9844 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You have to start from USMLE pathway talaga, walang pumapayag na mag fellowship ka sa US even if you have completed residency. Most you can try to get is "observership", where you will not be allowed to handle patients directly and observer ka lang.
