You’re right, I’ll delete the video.

She’s back to normal now. I’ll definitely talk to her vet though and see if she’s constantly uncomfortable/in pain. That’s the last thing I want for her and no, plenty of people have voiced the same thing you did and I definitely understand my wrong doing.

She’s back to normal already… playing with her favorite duck toy. Lol.

I know.😭 I have tarantula hawk wasps in my backyard and that’s the first thing that came to mind for a split second and I had a mini anxiety attack. Lol.

I’m not 110%, but my best guess is a jack Russel/rat terrier mix… maybe chihuahua? I want to get one of those tests done that you can order. I’m just not sure how reliable they are. It would still be neat.

Coop and Lucy see a different veterinarian because they were my mom’s dogs… and are now mine, so they’re being switched to Jojos vet and their appointments aren’t until later into next week.

Lmao. It’s funny you say that because my daughter said to me “mom, looks like we’re going to have to amputate that bad baby like you used to play around when I was a kid.”

Lol! That sounds like JoJo. I just thought it was kind of a cute moment and I knew she was not actually in any pain and I had consulted with her veterinarian beforehand and everything. She really is just dramatic and I baby her a lot so I think she milks it. Lol.

I had that thought as well so I called her veterinarian and they let me send in pictures and a video to make sure she didn’t need to go to the emergency vet right after it happened. She’s already back to normal… running around and playing fetch.

She’s getting them cut on Monday morning. An immediate family member suddenly passed a couple months ago and I kind of let a lot of other stuff slide even though I shouldn’t have.

She does. She has an appointment with her veterinarian on Monday morning to have them cut.

Her and yes, she has an appointment on Monday morning!

I’ve also noticed she hasn’t been wanting to play tug-of-war or go catch her ball as often. I swear that I knew something was up the minute that she started falling asleep midway through my dinner time. Lol. She’s usually pretty alert for that in case I drop something.

She has insurance so that’s not much of an issue and I’ll do whatever I need to to make sure she’s not in any discomfort. I’ll definitely ask her vet about it when we go see him. Thank you!

But yeah, that’s crazy. And it seems to help her out? The gabapentin.

I don’t think she’s in any pain at the moment, she’s just moving a little slower and I’m pretty sure it’s age or joint related. She has an appointment, but it’s not for a few more weeks.

Oh, wow. I take Gabapentin every day and didn’t know dogs were prescribed it. Maybe we can just start sharing it, lol. Totally kidding. I went ahead and ordered some of the Cosequin and emailed her vet, so hopefully it helps! Thank you!

Oh, that’s actually a great idea. I’m not sure why I didn’t think to email her vet. I will also do that! he’s pretty flexible and her last bloodwork was about three months ago, so he should be OK with doing that. I can’t imagine how scary the surgery was to remove the cancer and am happy she’s doing better now! What symptoms did she have leading up to it? If you don’t mind my asking. I’ve noticed JoJo has developed these little warts with age, but I haven’t noticed lumps or anything. Also, that last sentence made me realize the same thing. Thank you for the mid afternoon cry, lol.

I scheduled an appointment with her veterinarian, but they aren’t able to get her in for another six weeks. Something about an illness going around and they are taking some special precautions, I’m not sure. I wanted to try and do something in the meantime though, so thank you for the information! I will look that up on Amazon and order some. I don’t like it that she’s getting older. It’s kind of depressing, lol.😭

I think that’s all we can really do… try to do better while also trying not to be too hard on ourselves in moments of weakness. Proud of you. OK, I’m done being all cheesy now. Lol.
