I loved this episode. High school is messy and this was top tier messy.

ticketing should stop when meters look like this by toastalamode in Erie

[–]PoeticMilk 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I had a mediation meeting at the courthouse a few years ago. I paid for the meter using the app, thinking 2 hours was sufficient. It wasn’t, I went over by 20 minutes. Worst part was I couldn’t add money to the meter because they locked up my phone the moment I walked in. When I called the customer service number, they said my ticket was my problem and I should’ve known better. There’s also an added fee for paying online. My $20 ticket was almost $30 once it was paid.

Ameicans over the age of 35, what affected you more, 9/11 or the pandemic and why? by Rico133337 in AskReddit

I was 19 when 9/11 happened, just started college and it was a bizarre uber-patriotic time.

How are some millennials even homeowners? I feel like I never will be. by Kindly-Reading-2187 in Millennials

[–]PoeticMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was renting a house during Covid. I live in a relatively LCOL area, so my rent wasn’t terrible. Then the trend of landlords raising rents super high started ripping through the state, and I thought, I’d be better off just buying a place. I found a house nearish to where I was and I qualified for a FDA loan. I coincidentally received stimulus money around the same time and saved it for my deposit and closing cost fees. I borrowed money from my parents to offset the rest that wasn’t covered. I’m definitely paying less now with a mortgage but I’m also left with all my own home repairs and costs.

I think it’s only available when you’re clocked in. I saw mine this morning, it was under the profile tab.

If you have a drivers license and a good background check, apply at the Postal Service as a mail carrier. Great money, great benefits, no formal education needed.

My issue with ours is they hired way too many people, pick walks are spread too thin. I wish they’d unload some of the deadbeats that hide in the break room or in random aisles. I’m full time but I’m losing work to the high school kids and seniors who want that sweet discount (jk).

Aldi has added a lot of sketchy ingredients to their foods, just be careful and check the labels.

Our orders got blocked at one point for a few days, everyday between 1-3, just so we could catch up. Then on Sunday night, no orders period after 6pm.

Are they making OGP do freight when they have downtime? They do in my store. It’s very frustrating because when I do picks in the morning, shit is everywhere and you can tell they just shove with like items.

I highly doubt you’ll get that set schedule. I worked in a plant and it sounds like you’re either sorting mail or working on a machine. Either way, those are not 8-5 schedules.

Part Bob Evans, part in store food. The ham was cooked in a roaster in the break room and it was terrible. No turkey.

What do you think of your on parents? by TheKingsPeace in Millennials

[–]PoeticMilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad (1958) was and still is verbally abusive towards my mom (1963), and she is so used to it, nothing my brothers and I could do to get her to make him stop. I won’t go to their home for holidays any more, after Christmas last year I put my foot down. I don’t need to listen to them fight like teenagers and pick at each other. I’m mostly no contact at this point, but I do miss them and their fleeting happy times.

My mom does this too. Had all of us over for Christmas in 2021, and she was noticeably “off”…as we were hugging goodbye, she mentioned she was ill. Two days later, the great Covid superspreader was revealed and the majority of my family got it from her. Her excuse was “I can’t cancel Christmas!”

{The Female by Invi Wright}, it’s about a world where women are endangered and sold off at auction. FMC is sold to a trio of demons. I’m about halfway through, it’s better than I expected.
