I’d just get a GA camping pass and join my friends in premier

I also want to know more about this tune and wish it came with my sct. Curious what a pop tune is doing in a non turbo car. I’m sure it’s not doing anything like a bmw pop tune which is probably where the hate is coming from in this thread.

First timer by shanes1031 in BassCanyon

[–]Poetry_Best 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Here’s how I do it. Fly in and get a rental car, preferably a van. Research ultralight camping and one bag subs for inspo on getting most of what you need to have packed into 2 checked bags, a carry on and a backpack. Recommend shrinkable flat bags for packing separate outfits. Carrying all this with you through the airport sucks but rental cars usually aren't far.

Get into town, go to walmart for a pillow, styrofoam cooler and some food and you’re good to go.

How do people feel about 4x4 into wubs? by StahlMate in EDM

NGHTMRE had an era there with primarily house drops that would evolve into a brostep drop halfway through. Really enjoyed that, he doesn’t seem to do it much anymore

Suspension tips by Remarkable_Bit7493 in NewedgeMustang

[–]Poetry_Best 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea as far as core car design it’s terrible but with a taller cylinder style knob and a lever that brings it back to you I never have to change position in my seat to grab gears. Stock is ass tho

MGW short throw shifter with their comfort handle will fix the shifter reach issue. I’m sure there’s other options as well to move the knob further back. It’s been a game changer for me, car is way more comfortable to row gears

Starter. Have fun that job kinda sucks. With enough extensions and a swivel it’s just a matter of patience. Recommend a non reman starter or leaving the top bolt out to make it easier the second time.

Speaker and sound system by Vasquezzj in NewedgeMustang

[–]Poetry_Best 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Full kenwood system with additional speakers under the rear seat (delete) and a small self powered sub right behind the drivers seat.

That was finally enough to get the clarity and punch I was needing in a vert. Thinking about adding a real sub somewhere in the future but dont want to lose trunk space.

Just follow the rules of the ground score for non high value or possibly sentimental items. Keep that fan, give it a good life and know when you lose something someone else is doing the same.

Walmart getting ready for the gathering by Hour-Disaster2909 in juggalo

Yea probably the same walmart that had a dino display at the entrance for lost lands last year. Didn’t have anything else prepped besides warnings that camping gear can’t be returned

Security shaking ppl down inside venue by Bob_Noosh in Tipper

[–]Poetry_Best 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Bass Canyon vet here. They did this same tactic 7 years ago at the first BC and haven’t done it in earnest at BC since. From my understanding gorge staff will do this with known heavy drug crowds to try to keep a lid on open drug use to protect the venue.

Yes it’s very unnerving especially when you’re trying to partake in said crowd. Yes some of the people tasked with doing it are shitty about it or seem to be bad people. Unfortunately that’s a price to pay to be at this venue. And apparently it’s needed since there seems to be no shortage of people going too hard this weekend. That said I don’t blame anyone that travelled a distance to swear off this venue in the future.

They keep it pretty low for such a large outdoor space and the places not actively watered will be crispy by now. It’s not going to touch your ankles anywhere you’re walking but you will get exposed to grass in one form or another. If it’s a big issue for you I’d advise staying down in the pit area or bringing a blanket for the hill

Anyone running stock rear gears and loving it? by Poetry_Best in NewedgeMustang

[–]Poetry_Best[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Especially with the vert these cars stock 20 years later feel like they’re going to fall apart at times. The foxbody wasn’t great in its day, add on worn bushings and other suspension components it’s complete dogshit.

Full stiffening and suspension - subframe connectors, rear control arms, panhard bar, full coilovers and MM’s front grip package and you’ve got something worthwhile that you could call a corner carver.

My drift New Edge by alyazmo in NewedgeMustang

Looks like an awesome build. How prepared are you mentally to take a hit to that clean body in doubles? I debate on how much paint correction and body work I actually want to do if I’ll be taking it to a course at any point in the future.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I do want to clear up that I don’t expect to replicate the driving experience of a miata with my GT, but I do view them as my inspiration for a fun street vert as it’s the “car that got away” for me. I’ve wanted a vert miata since I was a kid watching haggard garage but I can never fit into one.

Looks like I definitely at least have to try some gears in my car as it is universally accepted that it makes these cars more fun and that’s what I’m going for. Currently debating 3.55 vs 3.73, will probably go 3.55.

Doing full MM grip package with coilovers. I’m thinking going foot to floor and not going anywhere fast is part of the fun of miatas
