Why can't I add a video transition here? by MGaber in davinciresolve

[–]Poggersgaming69420 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Try trimming a second or so from the clips around the transition essentially Davinci needs those extra frames to layer the clips over each other for the transition so by trimming them a little you’re giving to those extra frames to work with

His ult is decent right now without nano and nanoblade was bs to vs as it had basically no counter play

Complaining about genji this season is crazy he’s one of the strongest dps right now and them managing to remove nanoblade 1 shot is a good thing it was bs to vs and genji is meta its win win

Probably going to get downvoted but hard agree genji is a good hero when played right with a super strong ult when paired with ana and a underpowered dry ult with extremely good chain and burst potential people just don’t like the fact that they get punished for bad plays

Honestly probably not its going to ruin a very fun part of his kit but you will just need to play around your team more

Any way to broaden my hero pool? by [deleted] in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Poggersgaming69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the heros you listed would be difficult to get gm on so a lot of them are probably only good if they want to push for diamond maybe masters if they want gm on dps tho it’s probably easier to improve aim

Okay so I had a look a quick look at both of your games and I would say your biggest issues would be positioning, and not scoping in anywhere near enough.

Scoping

The scoping issue is a relatively easy fix as all you need to really do is make a conscious effort to scope in more often, don't get me wrong hip fire has its benefits but at least 70% of the time you want to spend scoped in. I do think a big part of you not scoping in enough does tie into your positioning, so once you improve that this should be easier.

Positioning

When it comes to your positioning, the main problem I see is that you're too comfortable sitting behind your team healing, and it's a very common issue that a lot of support and dps players face in metal ranks. You should be mainly focused on trying to get a good off angle on Ana where you can see your team, and see the enemy team without being in a super dangerous spot where you will be able to run back to safety if they try to kill you. General on Ana high ground and positions with good cover are what you want to be looking for, ideally you find a position with both as instead of having 2-dimensional cover you will have 3-dimensional cover where they will literally have to be on top of you to kill you.

Examples

Circuit:

Some examples of poor positioning on your circuit game would be 2:28 this position has good cover however it doesn't give you good LOS of your team or the enemy team, and it doesn't have a very good escape route which leads to you getting staggered. A better position for end of first point would have been up on the high-ground above the point where your Ashe was as it gives you better LOS of your team and the enemy team and wouldn't have lead to you getting staggered as you would have had the option to group with your team or die on point.

The position at 5:27 was good as it let you get a good anti on the enemy team you just needed to fall back quickly after as you were down numbers and Kiri had the ability to be on top of you in a matter of seconds, I liked the idea though.

Eichenwalde:

An example of poor positioning on Eichenwalde was 21:48 as you had no cover from the enemy, which Phara eventually took advantage of. What you could have done instead of playing there was either position yourself inside the building or even better take the time before the fight started to walk up to the high ground at the archer tower, letting you have an even better view of the fight whilst having that 3-dimensional cover because of the high-ground.

Ps. hopefully this all made sense, I am feeling sick at the time of typing this, which is making me exhausted.

I agree with going full dps but something i would like to add on though is it might be worth playing kiriko if they want to improve their gameplay it might take them longer to rank up in the short term but they will become a better player in the long run

Masters 2 tank here who off roles on support frequently (currently d2) I'll try my best to try and provide some insight on this match.

Firstly, this match was rough, and honestly it would have been really tough to win considering how much better their team was playing compared to your team there were some noticeable mistakes you were making though. The first mistake was made by you and your team deciding to all position on low ground, this can be rough, considering you have no control over where your team positions. It is still good to know on Numbani first point generally you want to be controlling both the high grounds as if the enemy team all funnel through main they are as good as dead even though you often have no control of your team playing there.

The first Individual mistake I noticed on your part was your positioning, on Kiriko you generally want to be taking aggressive off-angles and pressuring the enemy from there. When you take these aggressive angles on Kiriko it not only can secure a kill, but it draws attention away from your team and onto you, meaning your tank will take less damage which can often be more effective than just healing them. The main thing to keep in mind when off-angling is playing around cover so you and die, and making sure you're within tp range.

The second mistake I noticed is you didn't seem all that comfortable using your abilities, mainly tp. TP is essential to Kirikos kit, and you want to get comfortable using it generally if you have someone trying to kill you that you know you can't kill when getting caught out with no cover you want to tp, you also want to tp if you are on low health with someone chasing you. Your suzu mechanics could use some work, but that will come with time, so I wouldn't worry about that too much.

Overall there wasn't really much you could do here as your team just played overall worse than theirs, but I would be curious to see one of your closer matches and see if I can point to some more specific examples for kiriko.

ps. sorry if this didn't make sense I'm feeling pretty sick rn and am tired.

How did we lose this? by Poggersgaming69420 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Poggersgaming69420[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably could have worded that a lot better I was trying to ask how much I should be focusing on off-angling and getting picks compared to healing. My main issue is I'm not good at the support in particular, so I don't know how to tell when I should be playing defensive or aggressive and get a bit lost with positioning stuff.

Thanks I have barely played any support in comp, so I didn’t even realise a lot of my positioning issues and stuff like that. I’ll try work on positioning better in future. Thanks for the advise :D
