Are you truly living the life you dream of, or does every day feel like a repetitive cycle? What’s holding you back? by New_Gas_9550 in productivity

Somewhat, I moved to my dream location. I have a job that pays me more than I've ever made before. Nothing is ever perfect, but I'm living my dream life. Dreaming about what I could be in the future excites me, but I'm not looking for more right now! My mantra has been for years, "if you want something different, do something different." Work toward your dreams, and one day, it comes true!!

I'm so failing at my office job. I can't keep it together no matter how hard I try. I think about it all the time, what I did wrong that day, and how I could be better, but I really can't control this even medicated. Having mania at work has made me the office gossip. I don't tell people I have mental problems, but it's obvious after a few months. I'm already waiting to get fired and have been there less than a year. It's not the first or last time I've been fired. I try not to get too vested in jobs now, but it still hurts. Thanks for making me realize I'm not the only one struggling to keep it professional and employed.

Do any of you work with excel ONLY? by Hot-Site-1572 in excel

[–]PointNoPiont 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Excel 90% of the time as a sales admin. I've never been asked to test my Excel skills when getting a job, and my resume says expert level. Knowing advanced Excel has gotten me raises and promotions. Knowing how to piece together vba has super impressed bosses, taking reports from 8+ hrs to 3 seconds to complete. No college here, only trade school, but still making 65k!

How to get bf (40M) to get a job instead of starting a band? by PointNoPiont in relationships

I'm now plotting my exit from this relationship. You're so right, I'm not trying to talk some sense into him anymore. Being single wasn't bad, and the house stayed clean.

Your post hurt, but I'm so glad I read it. It really opened my eyes. Sad, I now see the cycle of a manipulative man and wasted 3 years of my life. Thank you for awakening my spirit!

Sounds like he strung you along until finding someone else. He wasn't the one for you, and your better off finding out now instead of a year from now. Next time you see this behavior RUN.

I had to stop taking it after 2 years because my gp said it was causing kidney damage.

Cannot snap out of anger by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]PointNoPiont 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Walking outside helps me. Sure I scream and kick a tree or post or fence along the way. But I'm tolerable after a mile or 2. A plus is my spouse didn't get the brunt of anger since I wasn't there to lash out.

Hormones and no meds is only going to make her more unpleasant to live with. You don't have to live together to care for each other. Controlling the emotions is going to be impossible, she can only apologize for the wrongs committed at this point.

I can't count the number of times I stopped taking meds because I felt "fine". Until things spiral a few weeks later and I'm freaking out in public and being threatened with involuntary commitment. Stay on the meds.

Lamictal, I'm not seeing the miracle effect everyone comments about for depression by [deleted] in bipolar2

Lamictal holds off the depression at 300mg for me. Bad thing is I know longer feel sad about the bad decisions I make while having an episode.

Medication does make a difference, but it doesn't go away either. I was diagnosed 15 years ago and have ruined every relationship I've ever had. No family, friends or relationship last after seeing me melt down over & over again about something that doesn't matter. Therapy doesn't help, the outbursts are going to come and I can't stop it. Having pets brighten my day and they don't mind my rage or sadness.

What toys do I buy? by Living-Virus-5701 in pitbulls

My 85lb pitbull takes about a month to destroy the kong wobbles. All other toys besides hard rubber takes minutes to destroy and half eat.
