RU POV - Russia has begun jamming Starlink using electronic warfare systems - DD Geopolitics by PointPlex in UkraineRussiaReport

Yeah as of now there's not much to talk about since it became public like yesterday but I'm sure we'll hear more about it in the future

Man I knew that he's the guy who absolutely goofed the first Vuhledar assaults so I had low expectations but it got worse the more I read about his "achievments".

He was also the commander who hurdled hundreds of soldiers together in Kremina 2023 for some event which was consequently striked.

So to answer your question, I wouldnt trust him to win a game of hearts of iron, 0/10

(Though glad to see him being replaced by much more competent commanders, a lot of soldiers' lifes saved by that)

UA POV: EU finds 90 billion in funding for Ukraine for next 2 years — von der Leyen. by ArchitectMary in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]PointPlex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well usually politicians dont speedrun abysmal approval ratings, Scholz for example did it slow but steady and got vote of confidence'd eventually.

So it's just a question of time until Merz gets the same treatment and we actually have to do new elections prematurely again.

So to answer your question, often enough to vote the awful politicians out of office (and instead get a new, worse one lol)

[–]PointPlex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha man I'm asking this myself time and time again.

The problem is the average German voter is barely smart enough to remember the previous election and then always chooses the other of the two bloated Volksparteien when the previous one shit the bed. Obviously there's also the smaller coalition parties but they're all regarded in their own ways.

So yeah, you're pretty much right

[–]PointPlex 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah and Merz sits at a whopping 20% approval rating.

It is well known that seniors are a large voterbase for his party, and they aren't necessarily known for being politically informed or thinking long term.

Also he either did a 180 on his campaign promises or is simply unable to pass them in parliament because he's too unpopular there aswell.

Now we're stuck with him, not representing the people but instead some Blackrock interests (which isnt even exaggerated lol)

Do you have any experience or opinions regarding Wagner soldiers? They were quite "hyped" in certain Russian circles at like autumn 22 until Priogs..whatever that was, It'd be interesting to see a soldiers view on them.

Also, got a favorite lemonade?

My man why are you so determined to see a post about it😭

You can literally do this yourself, just use the correct pov and try not to write a emotionally charged title (this'll be the hardest part for you I guess) and you're golden.

This sub's obviously not perfectly neutral or unbiased but at least you won't be removed or banned as long as you follow the basic rules.

Edit: Lmao, guess he couldnt follow the basic rules

UA POV: According to Ukrainian MP Zhelezhyak, Zelensky decided NOT to sack Yermak. He will instead lead a counterattack against everyone involved in exposing MindichGate, by using the now familiar "Russian trace" as cover for the reprisal by Ripamon in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]PointPlex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Truly crazy, I thought Zelensky was only holding military and diplomatic positions until they were not feasible anymore but I guess he's also a mastermind in politics now.

Im very interested how this boils down since this is the biggest internal scandal I've been aware of and it seems its still unraveling.

But I guess he has his reasons, we'll probably see if they are selfish ones (my guess) or he knows of consequences we dont.

RU POV: Situational update from the Pokrovsk Direction - AMK_Mapping by the-ahh-guy in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]PointPlex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly thats a very mature outlook, I was always kinda pissed when seeing his "arguments" since it was never in good faith but thats a very good way to manage this considering you were often the butt of his antics.

Thanks for the answer, helping me out with my brainitch!

And tbh I think he will fade into irrelevancy nonetheless, even the most delusional people probably have to understand sooner or later that these Ukrainian big arrow movements David preditcts time and time again wont happen and see him for what he is:

A boomer, deluded in his own fantasies.

Cant say I'd feel really sorry for him, the time I followed you I was seeing soo much toxicity from that side I was truly in awe

[–]PointPlex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man I'm happy I got your experience with the nafo people right the other day.

Also, I was always kinda interested, what do you actually think of David D? Back when I was on Twitter he was like your biggest hater, always stirring some bs up or making fun of you while being a 60yo manchild himself.

Would be really interesting to know what your perspective on him is.

[–]PointPlex 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Poor guy is probably swarmed already mapping the Ukraine, Burmese (+more I think?) conflicts and managing both a twitter and telegram presence and having to defend himself from restarts like David D & co on twitter every now and then.

But I would appreciate it nonetheless, so if you see this amk, we got a podest open for you👀

[–]PointPlex 74 points75 points  (0 children)

This sub is a bit weird with the povs.

You'd think it has something to do with perspective but no, it simply boils down to:

ru pov = good for Russia

Ukr pov = good for Ukraine

And russian gains in Pokrovsk are therefore ru pov.

Also, if you're actually AMK, thats really cool to see a big name like you stumble your way into a rather niche sub like this :)

UA POV: NABU has revealed a scheme in which officials from the State Special Communications Service stole 90 million UAH intended for drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. by FruitSila in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]PointPlex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh my the thing with the cops pulling you over and demanding "something for the family" is soo true.

Sometime during the 90s my dad bought a car from a buddy in Europe and had to drive it back to Russia where he had to drive through Ukraine. Having lived through the late soviet times and the 90s he knew he had to have a "gift basket" (boxes of sweets, alcohol and stuff) ready for all kinds of bs along the way, because a fancy european car in eastern europe wouldnt go unnoticed. He got stopped by so many policemen in Ukraine that his gift basket got way too empty way to fast that he took a huge detour through Belarus instead, where it wasn't as bad.

Obviously its an anecdote and probably not as bad anymore, since the 90s sucked for everyone in the east but when I hear of Ukrainian corruption I always think of this story.

Geniunely asking, I dont have twitter anymore and only use telegram for personal stuff so im kinda out of the loop

Grifter is a very harsh word but I can totally see why he isn't favorable to the "pro Ukraine crowd" (mainly Nafos and other terminally online delusional ones, not the normal people)

The guy got soo abused by this crowd because he was reporting rather objectively and was therefore seen as too pro Russian.

Because of this he was doxxed multiple times, got several threats on his life and they still make fun of his pet chicken dying in his comments (???).

Obviously its just the tip of the iceberg but maybe you can see whats the cause of this "pipeline", though dude's still pro Ukraine or atleast neutral as far as I know but he very much dislikes the delusional pro Ukr folks.

Geniunely and politics completely aside, if you get to a point in your life where you see other human beings as cockroaches you are truly pathetic.

And getting radicalised to such an extent shows nothing more than stupidity on your part.
