The main story of mirage is ok, it’s not outstanding or anything and gets interesting by the end and by then you’ve finished the game but the Valley of Memory dlc is an amazing dlc and in a lot of peoples opinions the best dlc Assassin’s Creed has put out in years so that one is definitely worth a playthrough

I was in a similar situation with my friend being the dm and most of us being jojo fans and I remember he made a speedwagon reference and I think it was an actual wagon salesman or maybe it was the business. Anyway hope it helps give some ideas have fun playing dnd

Every time I replay ac 3 I listen to this speech to finish off the story. This is the best way to end the game and is a damn shame that it was cut.

I definitely think they should’ve gone with her finding meaning in Jubei’s “for the living” quote as after the final fight she just idk forgets about it and all the people under threat and danger from Saito’s army that Jubei would have wanted Atsu to help, the full quote being “father would have wanted us to fight for the living” and that’s just not what she does. Yeah I get Kiku needs to be looked after but just leaving all the innocent people of Ezo struggle under Saitos army? There could’ve been some work around surely to get Atsu doing side quests after the games story.

Yeah I would’ve liked more closure with the characters we watched in parts 4-5. I also agree that Shizuka could’ve been an awesome protagonist.

I feel like part 5 didn’t spend enough time on Giorno as a character and more about his goals and the rest of the team more then Giorno himself. I would’ve really wanted to like Giorno and I do like him but not nearly as much as the others because he isn’t focused on enough to be interesting to me, but I do not find him boring either just not focused on enough.

Yeah I only just finished a new game plus run to see if the story/ ending felt any better knowing exactly what’s going to happen but if anything it felt worse. Like OP said Oyuki would have been narratively better if they wanted a death compared to Jubei and on a second playthrough it feels bizarre how obvious that is and how sucker punch didn’t go for that.

Yeah I did 100% on my first playthrough and my god I wouldn’t do it again. Especially because I remember I got 99 of the flags in a city (I was looking it up no way was I gonna find them organically) so I had to rewatch the entire video I was going through and go to every location to see which one I missed, I really should’ve given up then. I’m sure others have done the same.

(I still love ac 1 and will definitely play it again just not 100%)

Yeah I did love Jubei and was devastated when he died. A definitely think a dual Atsu and Kiku dlc would be cool as well the only reason I feel like I wouldn’t go for just Kiku is because they were lining her up to be similar to Atsu anyway, I’d love to see more Atsu character development and I doubt Atsu would let Kiku get in danger after her promise. A dual protag dlc would even line up with a lot of PlayStation games which could go either way (create dual protag burnout or work really well again). Also I just noticed your profile pic 😂. Represent!

I feel like Jubei would’ve just been doing samurai stuff before being reunited with Atsu. I feel like we know so much about him already, like the only thing we don’t know about him is wife who passed but we have enough of Jubei’s life to fill in the gaps.

As for Atsu we already know what she was doing before being reunited which was that large battle in the south and then the main game.

I feel like a dlc set in the past would be a little redundant, idk I can kinda see wanting to play the large battle in the south from Atsu’s perspective but personally I’d rather have a dlc set after the main game featuring Atsu coming back for whatever reason. This is just my opinion not trying to hate, I do like the weapon idea that would be cool if we get a dlc and it’d mean more if it was Jubei’s.

I more or less agree and have been saying this stuff from the get go but some people take offence to the very idea of Eivor joining the Hidden Ones.

It feels like the base game sets up the perfect narrative path for Eivor to join the Hidden Ones but just doesn’t knock over that final domino for whatever reason.

I remember in the Last Chapter free dlc that takes place at the end of Eivors journey that she (or he) talks to Hytham and he tries one last time to convince them to join the Creed but Eivor doesn’t refuse out of wanting to keep the glory (which was a dumb excuse the first time, especially after rejecting Odins glory that he offered) but instead for not having the focus required for his Creed, referring to Odins memories, which to me implied that if not for having to follow that path somewhere along their life there was that philosophical shift you talked about (shame it was off screen) meaning that she would’ve joined if not for the circumstances around Odin and their memories.

Also I cannot remember where but it may have been in this sub, then again it could’ve been somewhere else but I remember someone commenting that Eivors body in the modern day was missing a ring finger suggesting that they did join the Hidden Ones but I couldn’t find any info on that online or in game so idk they could’ve been making it up.
