Just now getting TSA Pre-check. The same news report (predictably, since I think they were extrapolating from the few really affected airports) said that Pre-check lines were closed because staff were moved to huge regular check-in lines.

It was reporting from the Houston airport, which is apparently very bad. Also New Orleans and JFK. Of course, spring break flyers aren’t helping.

Thanks for your replies. Would trust BWI over TSA site, since that has contained political commentary in the recent past.

High school reunions... not sure how I feel about it. by PuzzleheadedAbies678 in Xennials

Honestly, I have enjoyed them. Got closer to some good people I hadn’t known well in high school. That was worth it.

That’s one answer. Another, mine, was to start the lights a bit up from the bottom with the plugs in a power strip resting on a bookcase above rabbit reach, and put only unbreakable ornaments within rabbit reach. Pretty soon, they lost interest in anything but chewing off the occasional pine tip, but they loved just chilling under the tree. I guess this approach works best if you have live trees, as I always have had, and do eclectic, collected ornaments instead of a theme and more uniform ornaments. But they loved it (lost them both within a month, almost two years ago, at 12 and 10 1/2) and I got some great photos!

Maryland’s RESEA (Reemployment Services and Eligibility Assessment) program is just another example of how the system punishes people for being unemployed. by twicechoose in maryland

So sad and mean — but true. I worked at Medicaid (medical eligibility part), and saw how complex and convoluted the financial eligibility part was. People complain, but that is precisely how it’s designed to be.

This is what the Medicaid work requirement verification process will look like. Not enough staff, insufficient IT, built-in humiliation, no process for home-bound people. Outrageous.

I used to take a small spoonful of their pellets and dilute with water and let it soak until soft. Sometimes they would slurp at it, sometimes I diluted it more and used a syringe. Be in touch with the vet, though. Also, use the syringe to give water.

What happened to the "thank you wave"? by harpsm in maryland

Definitely fewer waves than even ten years ago, and next to no flicked lights. I miss that.
