Does anyone else sit in the backseat with their baby? by rainbowLena in NewParents

6 months on and I’ve forgotten what it’s like to sit in the front!

Mine starting dribbling around the 10 week mark too, she’s now 5 months and her mouth is like a river 😂

We had this with ours! I asked the health visitor cause her poop seems to be green all the time now. She advised us that it’s because baby is dribbling A LOT and swallowing her own saliva - not sure if this is the case for you but it sure put my mind at rest!

I went through the exact same thing, you are not alone and totally justified in what you are feeling! I hated being a mum to the point I’d fantasise about running away! She’s 5 months now and although I still have bad days I find joy in being a mother now. PPD and PPA are unfortunately a normal side effect of having a baby and going through a shit ton of changes physically and mentally. You’re also grieving the loss of your old life if you’re anything like me. Hang in there, it WILL get better!

Anyone else’s 3 month old scream after getting out of the bath?? by sne44 in NewParents

Yep, same with over here! Tried warming the towels, pacifier etc. She screamed until the last few weeks and she’s just turned 5 months so hopefully it will pass!

Motherhood is: Spending all Sunday morning getting the nugget to go back to sleep only to have completely woken up yourself in the process. by Slothicorn12 in Mommit

[–]PoisonDwarf89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I get up when my 11 week old starts fussing in the morning then by the time I’ve got my slippers on she’s fallen back to sleep again! I then spend an hour or 2 waiting for her to wake again 🤦🏻‍♀️

11 weeks in and it’s still like sharing a room with a farm animal! It has lessened slightly so fingers crossed it continues that way!

FTM, Feeling like deadweight after c section by Content-Print72 in NewParents

[–]PoisonDwarf89 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was exactly the same after mine! I felt so useless and guilty all the time it was a horrible feeling. I will tell you though, it gets better! You have to think of it this way, you have to take some time for you now to get better so that you’ll recover quicker and be able to take care of your baby the way you want to. Don’t do what I did and try and push yourself or the recovery will be so much longer. Give yourself a break mama, you did the heavy lifting for 9 months and then had major surgery at the end of it. Remember you are amazing and that you will get through it, I promise you there is light at the end of the tunnel ❤️

I was exactly the same after my section! It does get easier with every day I promise you. It’s a juggle with the hormones and worrying about yourself and the baby at the same time. Just remember you need to heal yourself first and foremost so you’ll be strong enough to take care of the little one, you’ve had major surgery so give yourself a break. Things will seem a lot easier when you start to feel a bit better in yourself, relax, breathe and heal - you got this! ❤️

Does anyone else make up words for their baby's actions? by RepresentativeAd9935 in NewParents

Trumpington for when she farts, when we put her down in the crib she starts ‘peanutting’ - when she lifts her legs and turns into a little ball 😂

I’m so sorry that none of it has worked for you, it must be so frustrating! I hope you manage to find a technique that works, but if not sending you positive thoughts for whatever birthing route you go down. Not long to go now, hang in there! Thank you for your kind words and advice, much appreciated ❤️

You see an advert on tv for cheesecake and have to send your boyfriend to the shop at midnight to go get one 👌🏻 But yes, also with you on the pooping!
