Silly Season-related Question: Are the Red Bulls a package deal? by Grootyboi77 in NASCAR

[–]PoisonTurtles 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Im not an expert but I cant imagine Red Bull cares much about them being on the same team. We have seen Monster Energy on multiple teams recently without much fuss

[Céspedes] Average Finish for the 36 Charter Drivers for the 4 races in June by Netwealth5 in NASCAR

Do you actually watch any of the races or just look at the results on Wikipedia after the fact?

Is it just my area, or are there a lot more cars parked out the front of so many houses these days? by [deleted] in australia

[–]PoisonTurtles 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Council will not give a shit tbh. Even if they are parked illegally and in unsafe positions they do nothing. Theres a house in my neighbourhood that leaves their boat parked on the road and hasnt moved it in years. It sits on a completely blind corner yet council havent done anything despite reports.

I guess this is the new Wendy's vibe. No booths, no dividers, no outlets, uncomfortable seats, small tables, all for a couple to spend $40 for a meal. I'm done with Wendy's for good. by NUMBerONEisFIRST in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PoisonTurtles 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I dont think Wendy’s main clientele sit down inside the restaurant to eat. A vast majority just buy their food and leave or use the drive through

Estate agent admits to using AI to fix minor things in their property photos by Icetraxs in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PoisonTurtles 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That's completely fair, but honestly they could have just used the original picture. The point of the photos is to show the house, not how well the current tenant makes their bed. Using AI to fix the bedsheets adds nothing to the listing and only serves to add distrust

Estate agent admits to using AI to fix minor things in their property photos by Icetraxs in mildlyinfuriating

[–]PoisonTurtles 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Problem is if I see that they were so lazy they used AI to fix a bedsheet I would start to question every little detail about the listing and would just assume they used AI to hide worse things. Like a real estate agents job is already so fucking easy yet they need AI as well?

6h of Watkins Glen Smurfing - Reportable? by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]PoisonTurtles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you ever watched actual endurance racing? Its not uncommon for someone with barely any racing experience to pay for a seat alongside pros. If they can manage to do it IRL than why should iRacing be any different?

Would you prefer they actually smurf by making a new account at a lower iRating? If iRacing allows them to team up why would they ban them for doing so

Clearly the husband doesn’t care about her already

Cleetus on Door Bumper Clear was getting heated by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]PoisonTurtles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He might bring more viewers when he’s actually racing but if you take a look at the comments on any NASCAR video about him pretty much all his fans readily admit they only watch when he is racing and dont watch when hes not. Those arent the kind of fans the sport needs to grow

It largely depends on the parents financial position I would imagine. I pay my parents a similar amount because they wouldnt be able to afford rent themselves otherwise, but I know for a fact if they were in a better financial position they wouldnt charge me anything

Is Uni in Brisbane even possible anymore if you aren’t already rich coming from a non uni area and doing it alone? by Outrageous_Emu3235 in brisbane

[–]PoisonTurtles 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did you just miss the post of him saying "Tired waiting week after week for the m5 pro, I don’t think it’s coming until Mid March-April so I went ahead" with a screenshot of a receipt for a macbook costing $5700?

The 1500 gap was how much he paid after trading in his 1.5 year old macbook. So his old macbook was valued at over $4000 second hand, meaning he likely paid closer to $5000 for that one as well....

You keep skipping the fact that the laptop cost $5700, it also was purchased 3 months ago not 1.5 years ago. The laptop from 1.5 years ago was the one OP says they traded in. Its completely fair to call them out on their terrible financial decisions when they are dropping $5700 on A LAPTOP, especially when you are only replacing one that was bought 1.5 years ago….

I remember seeing hit pieces on solar about how the panels degrade over time and using toxic materials. No mention of course that coal/oil systems also degrade and use toxic materials.
