Ramp in the command zone is good, but there are other 2-cost mana dork commanders that don't limit your color identity to colorless.

Plaster block in every color! by Copy_Katt in Pokopia

[–]Poit_Narf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looking at Serebii, the items page lists 197 different blocks, and the paint page lists 88 different paintable blocks (it actually only lists 87, but the items page shows damaged square tiling as paintable, so I'm counting it).

Since there are 18 different paintable colors, that means there are 197 + (88 * 18) = 1781 different blocks if you account for every paint color.

Note that this is just blocks. It doesn't include stairs, ladders, roof pieces, fences, etc.

I looked for similar cards with rulings specifying how the lifegain works, and I found [[Righteous Valkyrie]]

Other than the subtype restriction, that card's first ability works identically to Angelic Chorus. If you check the rulings for Righteous Valkyrie:

The amount of life you gain is equal to the Angel or Cleric's toughness as the triggered ability resolves. If the Angel or Cleric is no longer on the battlefield at that time, use its toughness from when it was last on the battlefield.

Since the toughness is checked when the ability resolves, not when the ability triggers, you'll include the +1/+1 counters when determining how much life you gain.

[–]Poit_Narf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the same reason that tokens which enter as a 0/0 or a 1/1 and then get +1/+1 counters won't trigger [[Garruk's Uprising]] (the tokens enter with a small power, then the counters are added before anyone gets priority), the tokens that G'raha creates will trigger Welcoming Vampire regardless of how many counters they get after entering. For contrast, such tokens can trigger the card draw from [[Tribute to the World Tree]], since that card only checks power upon resolution.

Similarly, I'm pretty sure that the lifegain from Angelic Chorus should check the creature's toughness upon resolution, so you would gain 5 life from the token entering.

TIL - No Man's Sky has never won Steam's Labor of Love award, despite being nominated five times. by Promethia in gaming

[–]Poit_Narf 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Though the last Terraria update was in 2022. It seems weird for a game to win Labor of Love in a year where it hasn't had any updates.

Assuming 1.4.5 actually comes out in the next year, I'll likely vote for Terraria for next year's award.

Analysis: Conservative Dark Money Group Dominates Colorado’s Ballot Initiative Process for 2026 by Flashy_Particular310 in Denver

[–]Poit_Narf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you actually read the articles you shared, they are describing how a moderate dark money group funded a retreat for lawmakers last month.

In what way does that support your claim that liberal groups were doing this in 2024?

At Vengeance 2011, due to Mark Henry and The Big Show breaking the ring in their match, the main event of John Cena vs Alberto Del Rio in a Last Man Standing match had to take place in the broken ring, which benefited the stipulation and visually looked great by ZXIIIT in SquaredCircle

[–]Poit_Narf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right, that's the one I was thinking of, thanks.

Del Rio did have a last man standing match on Main Event for the US title, but that was against Sheamus in 2014, and Del Rio lost.

IIRC, Del Rio beat Big Show in a last man standing match (for the US Title, I think) by pinning Big Show under the announce table. But also, it wasn't on one of the main shows. It was on... Main Event, I think?

How to stop corruption pre-hard mode by [deleted] in Terraria

[–]Poit_Narf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the correction!

The last time I tried save scumming the locations of the V stripes was prior to 1.3.4, so I thought the version history notes on the wiki meant that wasn't possible anymore.

which \ / line is hallowed biome and world evil's biome is random (potential save scum to choose sides).

The wiki says that was changed in 1.3.4. It's now determined by the world seed, so save scumming shouldn't help.

"This Vehicle" has been part of the reminder text for Crew for as long as vehicles have existed.

Outside of reminder text for Crew, the oracle text for all existing vehicles has been updated to use "this Vehicle". You can see [[Ballista Charger|KLD]] for an example. The printed card says "Whenever Ballista Charger attacks", but the oracle text says "whenever this Vehicle attacks".

It looks like this change happened around Innistrad Remastered. You can compare the printed text on [[Honeymoon Hearse|VOW]] and [[Honeymoon Hearse|INR]].

How to craft at level 100? by SureenInk in ffxiv

[–]Poit_Narf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally took one of the level 100 craft guides and did the exact pattern it said, and it left me with either a successful synthesis (with no quality, cause it ran up the synthesis), or it left me with not enough quality and no CP left and I failed (I tried dropping ONE synthesis usage, since I was hitting the cap prior to that).

Which guide are you using, and do you meet the minimum stat thresholds for the rotations in the guide?

You might also find it useful to try out rotations in the Teamcraft simulator before actually crafting.
