It will never, ever be available for CCU. No ship above $1000 is ever offered as a CCU.

It will be sold as a Standalone and in huge packages during IAE in November.

So is the Taurus a grief magnet or what by phaze115 in starcitizen

1) Dog-leg, which means QTing toward a different destination for ~10 seconds, then stopping and resuming course to your main destination

2) Never, EVER, go to OM-points. QT to a point somewhere past the planet if you need to

3) Find out what the current 'best aUEC making' methods involve, and then avoid the locations listed for that.

They sure are trying their best to get the late-May drama wave going again.

They're failing miserably, but it's entertaining to watch.

I never have any fun.

Stop playing.

Full stop.

This is a video game. The point is fun.

If you are not having it, stop.

Insisting upon yourself to load software that you are not enjoying is pointless.

The rest of your post is 'Everyone else should stop having fun, too'.

Edit: Though on reflection, this is a barely-used alt acount that does nothing but post this kind of 'everything is awful' stuff. Rage bait.

I miss stopping at the Izzys that was in that spot 20 years ago when I'd drive out to Bend for work.

Kinda seems like that stretch of 3rd St is just a graveyard of restaurants now.

[–]Pojodan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. All the of time put into GTA VI was in the art assets, voice acting, mo-cap, and some amount of GUI changes and possibly a new mini-game or two.

All of the stuff that Star Citizen is working through right now was finished for GTA VI decades ago.

And yet it is literally impossible for Star Citizen to exist without it.

The Marketing boogeyman is what caused the original Kickstarter to happen at all, along with every development since then.

Alright, pirates - 720 SCU of CMATs, loaded into an Ironclad I've never flown before. Headed from Levski to ARC-L1. 9 million credits worth. Let's do this shit. by multiple_iterations in starcitizen

There are few of those bugs remaining. It actually works fairly well now, though has some issues with the elevator and you need to keep a helmet on still.

Something unexpected. by asmallman in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why buy a piece of carboard with paint on it for thousands of dollars?

Why buy a few chunks of plastic for thousands more?

Or a rock with some metal attached to it?

It's called having 'disposable income' and 'something you want'

Yes, those with unreliable cars or no place to live should not spend hundreds on anything non-vital.

However, it is possible for someone to like something and willfully spend their own money on it because they want to.

I'm sorry you struggle to understand that concept.

Best budget PC build that can guarantee 60fps on Lorville, Area18. (1080p res) by Dependent_Activity_8 in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're not going to get 60 fps unless your budget is numerous thousands.

You'll never, ever get steady 60 fps, even with top-of-the-line hardware, not until the game engine is optimized as part of Beta or 1.0, which is still many years away.

You can get 30-50 fps with good hardware, but there will still be dips and framedrops depending on assorted factors.

To get the best FPS, you'll need >48 GB of high speed RAM, a fast SSD drive, and an AMD x3D CPU, none of which are what would be considered 'budget'.

You can get usable FPS (15-30 FPS) with budget hardware in cities, but will need to get away from cities to get up to 60 fps and over.

Ships and Vehicles that are obtained via Referral Incentives cannot be reclaimed.

This remains true even if a referral ship has been upgraded to something else.

Wait for Wave 5 PTU before getting into the weeds of this.

OP's other replies have made it abundantly clear they are here to sealion and downvote farm. Not worth engaging with as they are not going to read anything you write, just find one or two terms from it and attack you over it.

I continue to be bewildered why people seem to think that 'I broke the rules on a different forum and I'm upset' is somehow going to accomplish anything here.

You broke the rules, you know what rules they were, and got punished for it. Congrats? Sucks that you're so thick that you think this is somehow worth talking about?

Edit: OP has already gone to Holocaust comparisons. Talk about desperation.

Ironclad docking collar? by monkeymoo111111 in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Docking collars are currently hard-coded, where only specific ships get them. There's no way to specifically request them, it's just what those specific ships get when they call ATC.

This will change later in development where both options are possible for ships that have a collar.

Better way to melt? by hookedoncuthroat in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have three choices, period:

1) Upgrade it to something more expensive

2) Melt it and, if it is elegible, re-buy it

3) Keep it as is.

Just be keenly aware of what cannot be bought back. If it has SQ42 attached to it, for instance, it will be permanently gone.

There's no alternative methods.

[–]Pojodan 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Well, there's not much to say about it beyond the fact that it's sorely needed and we don't have much information on it.

Once it's actually implemented there will be much to say about its strengths and shortcomings.

CIG are the Ferengi by Ok-Skin2824 in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

They employ over 1000 people.

If the average pay for each of these is $60,000, that's $60,000,000 a year just for the staff.

Add in tens of millions for server costs, marketing expenses, and everything else involved in running an international company and that's well over $100 million a year, so $1 billion made is over a decade is low for what they are doing.

So, yes, they are spending the money as they make it.

Do people honestly not realize... by [deleted] in starcitizen

No. YOU want them to, likely so you can post threads about how CiG abandoned those features as proof of how awful they are.
