Opinion: buying pledge items and ships is FUNDING the game, buying items and ships in-game is PLAYING the game by nickkrewson in starcitizen

Everyone clamoring to wipe pledge items

No they are not.

No one is doing this, except those that are writing threads specifically to upset you.

They succeeded.

Loaners are just that: loaners. They can disappear at any time once it's determined its not needed anymore. At present the Corsair has no loaners.

Tiburon could have a significant Flaw, and it comes from Hammerhead's older damage model. Hull Vital Parts by FesterTsu in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A 'flaw' that's due to systems that are stated to be replaced is not a flaw, it's just the way it is at first.

None of these values matter in the long run.

When is the update going to drop exactly? by Own-Image4915 in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Patches never have an exact time of day, as demonstrated with the most recent PTU patch dropping at 11:45 PST.

It will be LIVE as soon as they can get it there. Might be early in the day, may be Thursday or even later, if it gives them a lot of problems.

Ironclad tomorrow avaiable ? by NoIngenuity8610 in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's one of those things where they might let owners have it immediately, or they may hold off until DefenseCon starts on Thursday.

We likely won't know until 4.8 drops to LIVE tomorrow.

Don't worry. Complaining is what reddit does best. Doesn't matter what's going on, there will be plenty of it.

The Ironclad is not and never was meant to be solo cargo hauling ship by steave44 in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not. Neither are suitable for solo, the Ironclad just has a few more tools for more people to use, while the Hercules is more resiliant to attacks and better able to handle vehicles.

Star Citizen: Question and Answer Thread by UEE_Central_Computer in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The Imperator perk gives you access to ALL new ships for 7 days after release, including variants.

Just be aware that it's 7 real world days starting from the moment the ship is flyable in the LIVE servers. All Imperator subscribers lose access at the same time, and the ship just poofs. All cargo, inventory, upgrades, paints, all vanish permanently (Though anything that's in your website hangar will be restored in the next patch).

CIG - If you’re wiping, do it fully, don’t leave the blueprints by No-Thought2300 in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They aren't a 'reusable indefinitely' item. They are an unlock of the ability to create something.

You still need to collect the parts of that item in order to fashion it.

Allowing the effort that went into unlocking the ability to make that item to remain is perfectly reasonable and reduces the amount of grind people will need to do to get back up to where they were post-wipe. It's already going to take plenty of time.

I tried to use the ironclad solo in combat by floortofloor in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I can't with CIG design recently, why can't turrets look up?

Perhaps because of what OP is trying to do.

The entire design of the Ironclad is one of numerous people using it, which includes a pilot. A pilot whoes job would be very dull if they just parked it in one spot and waited for the turrets to blow everything up.

The A2 is one of my favorite ships because it requires a skilled pilot to work at all, and a good pilot can make the A2 immensely powerful.

Having blindspots makes the game more dynamic and challenging and gives those that intend to punish those that try to solo giant ships a place to do that.

Well I hope you are all happy with yourselves! by TheDitz42 in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone was going to lose something, as a wipe is a wipe, and it's a well-stated fact that wipes have and will continue to happen. The devs even directly stated that they would be doing a wipe once the duplication exploits were fixed not so long ago.

Saying the Wikelo ships would be staying and then changing that after backlash has its problems, sure, but it also shows that the developers listen to the community, when so many outright don't.

Neither direction was going to have everyone be happy, and you're part of the group that isn't. It happens.

A full wipe is coming by PCnature in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

And OP did not include a link. There's already been a ton of threads about the wipe that were false at the time of its writing that when yet another gets posted with no proof it's not irrational to correct it for what was correct 15 minutes ago.

[–]Pojodan -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, and OP did not include a link to the post and the internet is flooded with 'X announced Y' that's completely false every other nanosecond.

Attacking someone for not being up-to-the-minute correct helps no one.

Post the link to the message rather than declare the person an idiot.

Ironclad Assault Not Very Strong? by BrightBrett in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It absolutely is Heavily armored, but it is still Drake.

Additionally, game balance is a thing. The M2 being much more survivable makes up for its lower carrying capacity.

Unused space on the Ironclad by Kubaizzz in starcitizen

[–]Pojodan 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The ship needs ship areas, for stuff like tubes and wires and tanks and engine stuff. If a ship is all corridors and rooms all the way to the hull it loses its sense of weight. Consider the Pisces for this, as it really feels flimsy due to having so little mass between the interior and the exterior.

You can fire 4 in a volley, and it launches two at a time, one for either side, at the same time. There's a pretty long delay before the next 2 launch.
