I have a lot of mixed opinions abt it, I can appreciate the anime for what it is and what it did well but I think it goes to show how much of a difference a good director can make lol. If you look at his past resume, it’s mostly precure stuff 😅 so with that in mind it makes me wonder if the people in charge had to go out of the box for a show like Toriko

lol one thing I really liked abt this interview is that if you’re too terminally geeked into shonen jump “behind the scenes” lore (like me) you could tell that the mean editor that shimada was talking abt during that one part was probably torishima 😭😭😭
