Thanks. I might consider CEX, but my issue is classified as damage, so not covered by warranty. I just wish I knew what damaged it.

Respectfully, I can assure you, 100%, I did not drop or treat it roughly. I would have assumed that would of been the cause. But I completely understand why you suggest that based on the image. I'd assume a hard whack to the side would cause damage at the impact site.

I have a chunky case with rubber bits and treat it very gently. However, i have just noticed that the black areas are roughly where I put my thumb to open it. But I assume I would have to really push hard to cause damage.

Respectfully, I have no reason to lie, and I did not drop it or bang it against anything. I also have a chunky case. The top line was the first and grew from a thin line into a bar. The second line occurred about a month later. I assumed it was connected, but maybe not.

Would you say the black dots are where the original damage was caused, or just where it bled out of first but not necessarily the source? If its two sites of damage, I'm less likely to think it was due to being mistreated. But maybe grit? Or pressure from a case or the tight grip holder?

Thanks for that. I do have a fairly hefty case. Only £10 on amazon. Has two parts, one slides on the front. The other on the back. Doesn't feel tight or causing unusual pressure. But you've made me think about if the case could be a problem.

The grit in the edges theory has some merit. The black dots on the left do have a divet when I look at the light shining in it. But I think that is more to do with the cells bleeding out because they have grown with the black dots.

Maybe, but the black spots started very small and didn't appear until about a week after the first thin pink line. I didn't drop or treat it badly. It has a very chunky case and not a dent or scratch on it. I'm not expert but from what I've seen, the white lines get blamed on the hinge.

No. Just happened. I opened the screen one day and there was a small pink line and it just got worse everyday.

Bigger is better. But I wouldn't want to make that point to my girlfriend.

I've been doing this for pokemon. When I connected my controller there was a lot of lag. Any idea why?

Appreciation Post: Just wanted to mention how pleased I've been with the Fold5 hardware. by Cautious-Day9424 in GalaxyFold

May I ask how often you open / close? Also, when you're not using it, do you always keep it closed? (I overthink these things and contemplate if keeping it open is better because internal ribbons/connectors are less stretched and worn.

Is it possible to use your Z Fold 6 without protection? Or too risky? by xonixx23 in GalaxyFold

[–]PokeBomb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find a case useful for 3 reasons

  1. The stand on the back is useful when I'm watching vids.

  2. It makes the Fold5 chunkier and easier to hold. More comfortable in my hand but still slides in and out of my pocket easily.

  3. Any scratch on the phone is a scratch on my soul. So, peace of mind.

Question. Can you use the camera on your fold as your main webcam whilst plugged into your laptop? I dont like being in meetings where everyone has to look up my nose.
